To be honest I want to get back into a German vehicle....
Spoke to a mechanic today and told him everything I did. He said possible torque converter issue but he’d need to drive it to see what it’s doing. I’m dropping it off next week
I didn’t use AC Delco knock sensors but I really don’t think that’s my issue. The CEL and knock sensor code has only popped up over the last few months. The truck has always had the stumble/hesitation since I bought it and it wasnt setting off the CEL. The issue has progressively gotten worse...
I believe so. There’s a screen when I pull the filter off.
I replaced the FPR tonight with an AC Delco one....yaaaa $100 flying out of my wallet! Didn’t fix the issue, however. The fuel pressure is now reading 50 psi on my gauge and I noticed while driving the PSI would jump to 60 psi during...
Yes they were Dormans. I did not buy extras haha the white one was not leaking on mine so I kept it and just replaced it since I had to pull it off to get the black one off. They’re cheap enough...
I drove my old Sierra (160k Miles) back and forth to Tampa from Houston 3 times in 2 years. Never skipped a beat. Loved taking it over The wife’s car because of the room and how smooth it was on the highway.....then I lifted it and put big tires on it and she didn’t enjoy the ride so much...
Whoa. Awesome! Thank you!! I looked for the EGR after work. I definitely do not have one. FPR will be my next replacement. I also want to put a stock air intake back on. I’ve never really been a fan of these CAI. After the FPR if that doesn’t fix it I might take it to a shop.....super...
I don’t think I have an EGR. What the scan tool pick info from the ECU about that? It’s X out on my scan tool like the ECU can’t see it or I don’t have one.
Fuel filter was the very first thing I did before anything else.
It holds at 42 psi. Do you mean does it hold after I turn the truck on then off?
When I first turned the key on (engine off) the PSI went to 50 then slowly dropped to 42.
I think I’m gonna replace the FPR just for ***** and...
It was no easy task haha
So dropped the tank and swapped the pump in about 2 hours...turns out my fuel gauge wasn't working because the old pump had this missing...obviously broke off some how.

New pump did NOT...
Well I'm dropping the tank tomorrow. I've got a pump so fingers crossed my issue gets fixed and I don't have to throw several pumps at it.
brb with results
Also these heater hose connections can suck my butt

Replaced them while the babies were...
I’m leaning towards pump or dirty screen on the pump. It drives a lot worse with a full tank of gas I noticed. Also I pulled the vac line off the FPR and the gauge spiked. I read that was a good sign and the FPR is doing it’s job. It looks Pretty new and so does the vac line
So I got a longer hose to test while driving. Around the 34 Mark is when it starts doing it. You can see the needle on the gauge kind of bounce around. I was actually accelerating up a bridge when it started.
I did notice that after the tank was filled (89) it stumbled and hesitated a lot more...
