I recently got a 2017 Chevy Tahoe with apparently a basic package. I have noticed that when placing it in reverse the backup camera does NOT have guidelines. I have searched the settings and found the backup camera, but the only option is if I want to display "Rear Park Assistance Symbols." Is there not an option for guidelines on my model/version?

I’m not sure anyone could disable the grid lines. My rig is older but doesn’t have them. Do your backup sensors beep when you’re near something?

Recently sold my Tahoe (loved it… ) as I inherited a 2013 Avalanche. I imagine these GMs are all quite similar regarding the settings. The issue you are having can probably be rectified re-setting the “Rear Park Assist Symbols”… I had the same concern when I got my Avalanche. Turns out someone had “turned off” the assist. Once I turned it on, everything worked fine, including the verbal warning “beeps”

Hope this helps
