on the older trucks the buttons could be replaced, not sure on these new ones, you might need a new steering wheel luckily being a current model it shouldn't be expensive.Just picked up a ‘21 Denali and some of the buttons on the steering wheel do not push. They are completely stuck, and do not function at all. It’s the up and down arrows, and the cruise control buttons. Any suggestions on a fix for this?
I actually bought it from a Range Rover dealer, and do have an appointment up there tomorrow for it. I was just hoping to get a little insight on it since they’re not a GM dealer. Thank you for the reply! If you purchased from a GM Dealer I would think they would fix them for you even if it’s used. Some Dealers have a 30 day repair for used vehicles.
Good to know!on the older trucks the buttons could be replaced, not sure on these new ones, you might need a new steering wheel luckily being a current model it shouldn't be expensive.
a new steering wheel for my 12 denali runs $500 and they are unobtanium for the most part
Those are not buttons... They represent the direction the center wheel (thumbwheel) scrolls (up/down) for the available features displayed on your Drivers Information Center (DIC) .. The left wheel is for your cruise controls, the +RES (toggle up, RESUME speed/Increase Speed), the -SET ( toggle down, SETS your cruise speed/decrease cruise speed). I have attached a pdf file from the 2021 Yukon Owners Manual about the steering wheel controls. Hope this helps.Just picked up a ‘21 Denali and some of the buttons on the steering wheel do not push. These 4 buttons (arrowed in the pic) are completely stuck, and do not function at all. It’s the up and down arrows, and the cruise control buttons. Any suggestions on a fix for this?View attachment 433008
Wow! I’m going to go check this out now. This is our first Yukon, and I’m so used to those being buttons. Thank you for the reply! I feel like an idiot lolThose are not buttons... Solid suggestion. I’ll have to dig into it. Thank you!Well, that’s gotta be a relief.
Suggestion:
Download a copy of the owners manual on GMC.com and read it…you will likely learn a lot.
Quiz:
1) how do you turn the dome lights on and off?
2) how do you change the dome lights to not turn on when opening a door?
3) how do you open the power lift gate from the driver seat?
4) How do you turn off the infotainment system?
Those are just a few of the not so obvious controls that are well documented in that OM!
Yell if you need the answers…we will help…but unless you read the book, you will miss out on some things.
Ya, pictures help, figured you were talking about the actual buttons.........Just picked up a ‘21 Denali and some of the buttons on the steering wheel do not push.
