My owners manual say use 41-114 , but when I search for them 41-168 comes up a lot. 41-168 also fits my Truck... 41-114 is an Iridium plug. Looking for opinions/experience with both. 2019 Tahoe LT. Thanks!

Does anyone know? I just pulled a 41-114 from my ‘17 6.2 that looks like it has all of the 170k miles on it, it is toast. But the local orielleys says the 114 doesn’t fit my vehicle?

I’m hoping new plugs helps with the sort of sputter it has under acceleration.

Sure would help to know if the engine is 5.3 or 6.2. Is it a secret?

RA calls for 41-168 for both engines though. Likely updated plug number. Sometimes the threads count is changed for a different depth in to the cylinder. may be a hotter plug, too.

Please, any member that asks for help with anything, give the vehicle info or put it in the signature so it is there every time you post.

I’m not the original creator but mine is a 6.2. Just looked up rock auto and they list the 168 so maybe something has changed? Not sure what the difference is or if they changed from the 114 to 168. I’ll try calling the local dealer tomorrow when they open and see if they can shed some light

One probably just supercedes the other. My 2012 owners manual says 41-110 but a few years ago all the online parts lookup stated 41-162.

Updated part # probably due to a manufacturer change

For what it’s worth my local dealer confirmed OE is calling for the 168 plug and he “thinks” it superseded the 114 but can’t tell for sure and didn’t know what the difference, if any, would be.
