What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Good evening,

Changed the rear diff oil on my 2016 Yukon w/ 98k miles. I think it has never been changed due to the color.

Followed some YT videos, and finished in 1.5 hours- I've never done this before so I took my time and did everything carefully.

I used AC Delco 10-4016 75w-90 Gear Oil, the diff took ~2.5 qts.

I just did this on my 17 as well, mine called for 75-85 gear oil not 90. Not sure it would make much of a difference either way but might be something to look into just in case. I think its more important to follow the guidelines of either friction adder or no friction adder which if you used the AC Delco it should be correct without adder

this upcoming weekend I will be doing the transmission fluid change for the first time on my rebuilt 6l80, its been 20k miles so this should interesting. front brakes are up also and so is a seafoam treatment for the induction system, fuel tank and I'll be putting some in the crankcase before this upcoming oil change. we will see what 115k of synthetic oil changes ( always done early) will look like after that flush out.

Went to check on the sensor harness near the exhaust for condition and all was good but one thing led to another and wound up refurbishing my spare and scraped and wire brushed the rust on the bottom. Hit it with a rattle can for now as I rarely drive in snow/salt

Finally trimmed the lower front valance.
Overall width is now 1 1/8”
Looks pretty trick if you ask me.
The only tools you actually need are a reciprocating saw and xacto knife. With the knife, you can carve and smooth out any jagged edges if you don’t feel like sanding the plastic down- just a keep straight hand.
Next mod is 2” front lift to level out the Yukon.

Touchscreen on the radio system started fouling last year. Got much worse lately. See lots of Youtube videos on this. Tried a couple fixes, no help. Recalibrated the screen, helped some actually but still ghosting. Figured out that with the screen up it goes dark but the radio and XM works ok. Put the screen down on a piece of thick paper and the display works fine, backup camera also, but the touchscreen goes dead. Knobs and steering wheel controls work fine. I'll live with that but I suppose it will need the membrane and face replaced at some point.

i replaced the one in the wife's burb couple weeks ago, seems to be working fine now. it's normal for the screen to go black when in the up position.
took about an hour or so to r&r

Had to do the zip tie trick on the back of my drivers seat as the panel was falling almost every time I drove it recently. Took about 20 minutes in total, the longest part was remembering where my corded drill was since the battery died on my rechargeable.
