External trans filter?

Cool. Thinking about doing it too, and found this thread in a search. So I figured I would ask. How does it seem to be doing?
No complaints. Last time I changed it out, it had a bit of really fine stuff in it. Pretty much performing as expected with a healthy transmission. Whether I'll see any benefit in the long-term? Who knows. But it's cheap and makes me feel better

I am thinking about doing this to a 2017 Tahoe (5.3 / 6L80). My main hesitation comes down to two things:

1. I don't want to cut the factory lines (want to be able to return it to factory condition easily if needed / wanted). This means I need some connectors to hook the factory fittings (Jiffy-Tite 2000?) into the new hose, and figure out how to route / secure them well.

2. I recently bypassed the thermostat with the Superior Solutions kit. It dropped my temps from 180 to about 130 with ambient temps around 80 degrees. This is great in the summer, but not sure how well it would warm up (if ever?) when I am cruising down the highway at 70 mph in 20 degree weather. Would oil temps that cool restrict the flow through the filter enough for it to be harmful?

Anyone have experience with installing one of these external filters on vehicle that has the thermostat bypass? Also curious / open to suggestions about the Jiffy Tite connectors and how to avoid permanently changing the factory lines.
