2008 Hydrogen Hybrid. It's been sitting for a couple of days while I had to repair the door panel. When I went to restart, it makes a funky whop whop sound, smells of fuel and dies. The video below kinda shows what's happening. I suspect it's a 12v issue, so I detached the 12v and I'll trickle charge the battery to full life and see. It's currently undriveable. If you saw my previous post about a similar issue, that problem went away after sitting at the mechanic's for a few months. We'll see if pulling the battery help...

(Oh, and I can't connect my dumb cheap OBS...If I can, I'll see what that has to say for itself)

ARGH!

listening again are you sure the engine is even started and running? the way the electric motor spins the engine over so fast, it has tricked a lot of people into thinking it's running for about 10sec and then dying. but really it never started. the sound makes me wonder if the engine isn't actually firing off and idling, the electric motor is pulsing as the engine is trying to catch.

just a thought. you have a ton of lights on the dash and no obd2 connection. it's kinda sounded like wiring issues with this truck last time too. did you even get a chance to check if they main harness as rubbed thru on the metal bracket on the front of the drivers cylinder head. I hear that's common on the older trucks. gm changed up how the harness connects to its bracket by the 2011s.
