Hi all! Long time owner of a plurality of GMT800s, first time owner of a GMT400. I bought a 98 Suburban K2500 7.4l Automatic off a buddy to haul the family and pull the camper with. The one place I'd like to upgrade is the brakes. My question is this - does anyone know of an easy brake upgrade path? Will the GMT800 2500 rotors/calipers/caliper brackets swap over? I know on the 800s, the 900 and up brakes swap right over at least on the half tons. Not sure if that worked backwards to the 400s as well, and if it applied to the 2500 trucks or not.

Any input would be appreciated. I've got a parts truck I can pull from but I don't have a whole lot of time to fool around with it if it isn't going to work.

Thanks!

I've got a K2500 pickup and for me the best thing I did for my brakes was put a NBS master cylinder on, I pull a 28' enclosed car trailer that is heavy. Do the google and there are a lot of links to changing the MV for both vacuum boost and hydro boost.

Awesome. It's hydroboost as is my parts truck, I'll look into it. Thanks!
