If I remember about half right from when I worked at a Chevy/Hummer dealer in the early 2000s... the H2 was like 2500 suburban front frame and 1500 truck rear frame. Or vice-versa. So yeah it would technically be an 800 series.Never heard of the Hummer being part of the GMT800...
Besides engine and transmissions (and wheels), I don't believe there's anything else shared with the GMT800 "body style" such as frames, axles, body panels, tailgates, windshields, etc. I thought the Hummers were like a different animal altogether.
The 1st generation avalanche I think is closer to the GMT800 though, at least on the drivetrain. IDK?
We replaced SOOOOOO many carriers in the H2s. Owners would get together and take their " awesome offroad rigs" out and have absolutely zero idea how to actually offroad. Full throttle off angle stuff and the lockers would engage....for a split second before turning to silver soup. A 14 bolt is strong... but not idiot rich guy proof.GMT800 - Wikipedia

"The Hummer H2 is based on a modified GMT820 three-quarter-ton pickup truck in the front,
and a half-ton 1500 frame in the rear."
The H2's rear suspension is of particular interest to me ...
