I just purchased my 2021 Yukon XL Denali a few weeks ago. I usually like to modify/customize my new to me vehicles within a month or so but am looking for some inspiration on this vehicle...

Changes in process:
-Chrome delete
-Change wheels are tires (currently have stock rims 20" but looking to upgrade to 22" black snowflakes)
-Upgrade the Bose subwoofer

Anyone want to show off their 21-23 (preferably white) Denali????

Color match or vinyl wrap the chrome to white and white it out
Smoke out the taillights I used vinyl wrap for this and it came out great in the wife’s car. As far as the Bose subwoofer it’s a pain to convert that but it’s fairly easy to add a aftermarket sub and amp to the stock system look into a good 8” sub I like the Memphis mojo 8” but sundown and skar makes some really good 8s also which hit really hard for such a small sub and still give you a lot of room in the trunk. Paired with a 800-1000watt amp (down for sound is good also Tera amps are good for the money) best bang for your buck system in my opinion
As far as rims go I like the bigger ones you can get 24-26” stock replica rims cheap and they make a lot of mud tires for them also. For example my buddy has a set for sale at his shop right now 500$ for rims and tires used but brand new runs around 2000$ or so IMG_0259.jpegthese are 26x10 corvette ZL1 replicas on 35/13.50 MTs

Thanks! I was going definitely looking at the white out option! It does look sick! I took my truck to my local wrap guy and he said the whites would be different and he wouldnt be able to do the bars on the roof. Are there places that do specific color match vinyl? There are a few scratches and paint chips on the truck, wondering how much a new paint job would be to freshen it up and get all the trim white? I attached pics of the one I was using as reference, its sick!

I am looking at some stock replica rims, 22" though, maybe 24". 26" to me seem way to big. Thanks for the input!

My issue with adding another sub is that I dont want to lose any of my truck space, I have 2 kids and another on the way which is the reason I got the XL for all that great truck space behind the 3rd row.

These are also some nice options:

Well I will save you time and money concerning mods you should most definitely do to your SUV. Very first thing you should do is a AFM/DOD delete with a Texas Speed Camshaft. I went with a stage 1 Camshaft DOD/AFM delete package with the upgraded lifters and valve springs. It will save you on the long run replacing faulty GM lifters. And you will see a significant difference in power in torque. You will also need a tune from HP for the AFM/DOD delete which in turn will have your SUV running so much better than before. Going with the stage 1 camshaft you won't have to upgrade your torque converter and can leave everything else stock. Doing this was the best decision I have done on my 2016 Chevy Tahoe. It did cost time and money but the end results you will not be disappointed with.

I immediately did several things. I permanently disabled engine Stop / Start. This will improve engine life, as well as safety. I also disconnected the daytime running lights. I can turn them on manually if I want to, but two government studies have shown NO safety benefit to driving with your lights on during the day. It improves the looks tremendously, my car no longer looks like a Christmas tree going down the road. I changed the circuitry to the cigarette lighter aka power port, so they are on all the time. Modified so that the vehicle will idle for more than 20 minutes and accessories can also stay on for more than 20 minutes (I need this for Drive-In movies). I consider everything I've done as correcting design mistakes in the vehicle.

Here is an update from the past week....

**Front windshield tinted
**Replaced all of the chrome emblems around the Denali with Gloss Black emblems...
**Ordered a 7pc gloss black front end trim package from eBay and took that chrome off the front end..(cuts and scars on my hands were rough - it took me in total about 4 hours to change the front end)...
**Changed the orange side markers to clear...
**Finally added this black/white overlay emblem to make the GMC pop on the black grille...

Next thing I plan to work on is the chrome delete on the side chrome and rear. I am thinking about doing the same overlay emblem on the back once its wrapped gloss black.

What are your thoughts on the overlay? I think it makes it pop pretty well and dont see many of them on the road!

Nice work! I like it. Glad that the front gloss black eBay grill and trim package turned out. Sometimes those type of things can be a dice roll on fitment, but it seems quite a few '21-'24 owners have had decent experiences with them.

I'm on the fence on the front grill logo overlay. I like it, but I think the only thing that's throwing me off is the white emblem border appears to be a "brighter" white than your Yukon paint? If you're Denali is actually White Frost Tricoat, that would explain that appearance difference.

Following as wife just decided to go with White vs the Maroon..... She already had the dealer switch out to black 22's

21DenaliXL - In regards to your black Denali grill - was it originally chrome ?? Or did you order a black one??

I just was on EBAY and found the 10 piece kit that included the black grill - Like CMOORE711 asked - how was the fitment on the grill and bottom inserts ??

Is the only option Vinyl overlay on the door and side molding pieces ? The wife runs car through the CREW carwash a few times a week - will the vinyl hold up??
