The best Magneride shocks are OEM shocks, and I believe that they now have a lifetime warranty.

Go to GMPartsDirect.com, enter your VIN, go to the Suspension section, and look for your Magneride shock. The RPO code is Z95 for the Magneride shock, so look for that specific code in the list of shocks. The price will be substantially less that at the dealership.

2017 Tahoe LTZ. My struts were leaking at 80,000. This weekend I put on new Detroit Axle Magnetic ride struts. They are really really stiff. They are much harsher than the originals. It changed the ride from car like to heavy duty truck ride. I'm sure they are a great product, but if I had to do it over again ( and I might as this ride is ugly), I would probably go back to OEM.

After a couple of weeks now with the Detroit Axle struts, I am going to remove them and replace them with something else. The Tahoe LTZ is so rough now it just beats you to death. Detroit Axle has defended their product and after numerous emails have failed to offer a different solution. These are way way too heavy duty for a Tahoe.

Now in search of replacement with shock and spring as a complete assembly. Recommendations appreciated. My original factory springs went to a scraper, so they aren't available. The springs are the Detroit Axle struts are the likely problem so won't be trying to use those. Really need a complete unit.

Unfortunately Detroit Axle gives you what you pay for. Not great. Follow @Joseph Garcia advice and go with GM parts or equivalent. Are you sure you have Magnetic Ride Control? Check your rpo codes to make sure.
