Rock Auto is my "go to". They are not a fast as Amazon but not bad, three or four days and the parts are in oem packaging and appear to come from car dealers. Their pricing is better than Amazon. So I just cool my jets and wait for delivery.
As for Ebay there are known trustworthy sellers there for oem parts; One example being QuirkParts that also have a website but generally at higher prices..

Had a quick question. I’ve been getting OEM/ACDelco parts on Amazon. I was told supposedly to stay away from Amazon with that because there are knock off companies that advertise them as OEM but they really are not.?
I would also avoid them. Returns are risky. People who return too much get their accounts permanently closed. Sometimes with no warning. Buy from an auto parts distributor.

It seems they've just invented a new way to be difficult.

I can't check specific user reviews, when searching for products, without either signing in, or opening an account.

I normally only buy gm stuff off of Amazon if it is being sold by the "ac delco store"

This … Amazon is crafty and will insert suggested items in the middle of a reputable stores page. Usually with a comment like “similar item for 25% less” that goes to jAcks AuTo PerTs with pictures of items robbed from the actual GM part store.

Key words of advice. Use noggin and PayPal in case they do pull the wool over your eyes. PayPal has gotten me out of about 7-8 scam transactions over the past decades.

I buy from Amazon,eBay and GM online stores. You have to do your research threw a GM online store then search the part to find the best deal which means time! If you have the time then you can get some good deals which ever one you choose. eBay reviews are B.S. and Amazon for many reasons including fake or Vine customers which are people that receive the item for free and provide a review which is usually positive even if the item is junk. I buy a lot of parts and sometimes at my local part stores. I do have a advantage from most people because I was. GM mechanic for over 35 years so I can tell if a item-is real or fake. Amazon open box or in like new condition are (usually) good but it’s a guess but it can be returned in 30 days for a full refund with Prime. Take your time and do your research and read verified reviews but some of those people only complain about shipping so get those out of the way.

GM has their parts made in China to their specifications, those parts are shipped to GM Dealers

But the knock off cheap stuff is then made based on that information, also in china; as is the boxes & printing info from GM

Those cheapo parts are boxed in OEM packaging & non OEM packaging, the OEM packaged stuff cost more but is the same part

GM knows this is happening but China is the only viable manufacturer now, it is also a violation of federal trade laws but Washington doesn't care either

So you can buy the crap or go to the dealer, a 3rd option would be a reliable aftermarket vendor but our trade policy has made it very hard to get decent parts; we're all dealing with the same crap

GM OEM from Amazon like new can be a hot deal. Got a lot of my aluminum suspension parts that way for my Gen III. Almost all the parts are returns from ordering Alum when it wasn’t called out for steel only.

I have bought GM parts in the past on Amazon and never had a problem. Use common sense. If it's a common part for a nearly new vehicle at a really good price chances are good it's a fake.

Biggest problem I've had with Amazon the last couple years is they hardly put any packaging in the box and the item arrives damaged.

Right, the last thing I got from them came in an envelope with printing on it stating that the envelope replaces a box.

This has definitely become a problem.

LOL, they cushion purchases, in the box, like Taco Bell puts cheese in tacos- just enough so they can stand up in court, and claim, "We did so, your honor."
