Parasitic draw with modules out

A shop disconnected the EVM and BCM a bus bar gauge cluster and a few other plugs inside trying to solve a crank/no start where the fuel pump and other things not engaging.
Couldn't find it, said both modules are fried, based on not able to connect to them.
Towed it home all taken apart.
Did a battery and draw test, with all that disconnected, it's still pulling between 1.2 and .9 amps.
Should I plug everything back in before I search for the draw or leave it disconnected?
I have a new programmed EVM but am afraid to plug it in until I resolve this 1 amp draw and thinking I can just put the old one in.

EVM? Is that the engine computer?

Do a "voltage drop" check on each fuse and see which is the one drawing. At this point, leaving those modules unplugged or plugged probably doesn't matter because they are likely not the culprit.

The IPC fuse that powers the cluster is a known issue and has to do with the cluster solder breaking down over time and causing the draw. At least on the 03-06 models. I can't remember if it also affects the 99 (trucks) or 00-02? I never had cluster amp draw on my 99 Silverado, but did have the dimly lit gear selector indicator.

It has a 3.1 amp draw continuous, I just pulled all the fuses, no change.
What am I missing?
I will do a voltage drop on them now.

H O-Lee Chit Batman! That's a huge draw.

If you are in the colder regions of the States and can get ahold of an infrared camera, you can find the offending circuit, actuator or module that's causing this. Whatever is staying on will be generating a LOT of heat at 3.1 amps!

Disconnect the fuses for Lighting, Heated Seats, Memory Seats, Seat Actuators, and all fuses related to the radio and amplifier circuits. Also, do you have any aftermarket gear that does not fall under any of the above? If so, I'd pull fuses for it as well.

You have two options here: 1) Pull fuses until the draw goes away. 2) Pull all those and related fuses, see if the draw goes away, then plug them back in, one at a time, until the draw starts again.

Finally, keep in mind you likely have multiple systems adding up to that draw and not just one.
