2021 Denali front and rear defrost will not activate when vehicle has been started with remote. Heated seats and steering wheel activate, but not defrost. Some have said defrost has to be on before vehicle was turned off last, but 2015 Tahoe was not like that. What can correct this?

We don’t get much anywhere so I can’t say much. Did you try leaving it on before exiting? I’m curious. I know if I leave my wipers on auto they don’t come on during remote start, only when I hit start inside.
My 2019 has a setting turned on (in the user settings) for that to happen.

Care to share a screen shot of where you found settings on the GMC Phone app...I see none.
@Berkdog, According to the owners manual, Front and Rear Defog should come on automatically if the outside temp is low enough...since the heated seats and steering wheel come on, I would expect you to get front and rear defog as well. I know on a cold day, my Denali powers up the front and rear defrost. I am not sure the indicator lights on the HVAC controls illuminate when remote start activates them though, can't recall. So, maybe do a remote start and hop in, but don't hit the start button and see if you feel warm air coming out of the defrost vents. Unclear whether the vehicle personalization settings for Auto Defog and Auto Rear Defog affect the remote start settings, but try switching them on if they are off.
