I have an 08 Tahoe Z71 I replaced the Fuel pump in Oct. 2024 from the warranty of the fuel pump I changed out in April of 2024 as well as the fuel relay and also the fuel pump driver. Yesterday I drove to the store and when I came out of the store I could not get the truck to start. It will turn over but doesn't seem to get fuel. When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump running. I have noticed that if I turn the key to the on position and put my foot on the gas for a minute or so it will start up very weakly and then die out. I left the key in the on position while checking fuel lines underneath waiting for the tow truck and came back in the truck maybe 5-10 minutes later and it started up. I went to drive it and it made it about 200 feet before it died out. Any suggestions on what could be the issue?

Any codes?

Since you hear the pump running, perhaps not a pump issue?

"... doesn't seem to be getting fuel," is about as useful when diagnosing as "it cranks, but won't fire."

Go get yourself a fuel pressure gauge and a spark tester from harbor freight or your local parts store. Probably $50 for both Get a test light if you don't have one also. Another $15. You can rule out fuel pressure/delivery and spark with these 2 simple and inexpensive tools.

And many parts stores will "loan" or rent a fuel pump test kit that you use, then return for your money back.

honestly sounds like pump. what brand did you use?

I've had them run but not pump any fuel before. like said above. you'd had enough fuel issues that it's worth investing in a gauge and maybe some type of scanner.
