Holy cow!! That sounds awesome! I may have to visit when I can drive from one side to the other on a paved, high speed, road. Pretty neat stuff. I like progressive thinking, although I hate toll roads. But, I understand that 8000 miles of road isn't cheap to build or maintain.

What kind of fuel economy do you get driving like Mario Andretti? Also, what is your fuel cost in Russia?

LOL, we have those roads here. We call them 'Texas'.

If you plan to keep your vehicle for a long time I would replace all the ATF before 20,000 miles. GM may set spec's but the bean counters are in charge of procurement and they will always purchase the cheapest that just meets the spec's. There are much better ATF out there then what GM sells. I would never put any lube with the GM logo on the bottle in my vehicle.

LubeGard's version of Dexron6, and Mobil1's versions of Dexron HP and Dexron ULV,
are all made with Group IV polyalphaolefin base stocks.

I would imagine fuel stations are decently frequent on those roads. Sounds great, I wouldnt mind cruising at that pace with hardly any traffic around.
Unfortunately, there are not as many gas stations as we would like, but they are developing, while you have to plan, and just in case, take 1 canister of 20 liters with you) just last year during the New Year holidays, it came in handy, when the flow of cars on this highway was so large that the queue was 3-4 kilometers. But based on the experience of other toll roads, all this will change over time. Again, no one prevents you from leaving the toll road, driving 10 km to a small town, eating, refueling and returning to the toll highway to continue your journey.
For example, here is my way, with an average speed of 155 km/h for 645 kilometers

We have a 10-speed Ford gearbox. We pour Motorcraft liquid into it

Well technically you have a 10L80, which is the GM variant of the 10 speed that was developed as in a joint-venture between GM and Ford. The Ford variant is the designated as the 10R80.

I would assume the difference between AC Delco Dexron ULV and Motorcraft Mercon ULV is nil, since they are more or less the same transmission.

Is there a general consensus on when it’s best to change transmission fluid and filter under normal driving conditions in the ‘21+ Tahoes?

Service manual from Chevy is at a high mileage if I recall correctly, north of 100k. I have an indy mechanic suggesting to I do it now at 60k given issues he’s seen in the past with Tahoe transmissions and metal shavings…not sure how much of that is based on experience with the newest generation. I don’t think the guy is trying to convince me to spend more money just for the heck of it, but id feel better about making a decision with the collective unbiased opinions of you folks here!

Thanks!!
I have changed my trans fluid at every 25k. I have the 6L80 but its heavily abused. So far no metal in the fluid. I'm at 107K and the 6 speeds are NOT known for longevity under heavy abuse. So either the fluid changes are actually working or I got really really lucky (highly unlikely)

I would at the very least do a fluid exchange at about 80K if you don't tow and if you do 50K. To drop the pan an replace the filter 120K. In the early two thousands the dealer I was working for was doing 50K flush and so on like I said above. It all depends on your driving habits, climate and if you tow or is the truck equipped for towing like a heavy duty trailering package. There is not one answer for every situation. The owner's manual is a guide!
