That's the thing, in theory, drop spindles "shouldn't" hurt the ride, as the geometry of the strut compression, spring rate etc doesn't change. But I absolutely felt a difference in the ride. That being said it was kind of hard to tell how much of what I was feeling was from the rear, where I had drop struts.
That's what scares me when I talk to all these suspension shops they will say oh it won't hurt the ride or it might barely stifen up the ride but nothing too noticeable. I guess some people are just more sensitive to the ride than others. Did the lowering spindles make it take bumps in the road more harshly?
Yes but again, I may have experienced a harsher ride because of the combination of having rear drop struts. I think with rear lowering arms, it would've been better. Streets play a big role as well. I live on Long Island and it's awful by me, just terrible. If I lived in Florida I probably would've never felt a difference in ride quality at all.
Hey man, the maxtrac rear adjustable lower control arms are a nice ride but they sit too low and you will scrape on everything (know from experience) maxtrac drop shocks will give you 4 in drop in the rear and rides pretty smoothI've strongly considered lowering my 24 Tahoe RST 4WD ( non mag ride ) 2" all way around and have been told to use Belltech drop struts, then was told not to use those because it would hurt the ride to go with Maxtrac drop spindles/adjustable rear lower control arms. Can anybody confirm which would be the best and not hurt the ride?

Hopefully you're somewhere warm where you never get snow. Otherwise, it looks like you could plow my driveway with how far those MaxTrac components hang down!
