I'd want to see pictures of the undercarriage, cab corners, and rockers. Also, that is an LLY Duramax, and they are known for overheating. I suggest watching the YouTube videos on it. The issues can be addressed giving you a reliable Duramax, so it is not an automatic walkaway. So it is probably worth looking at. For me, I would not be interested due to rust. But I live in Texas.

If you are willing to travel, there are PLENTY on Facebook Marketplace. Also, look for an Escalade ESV platinum. Thank me later.

I'm scrolling and browsing Facebook marketplace and Craigslist for so long that I almost lost the hope in getting something decent. I think probably the best way to get a good truck , is to travel somewhere far away out of the state like Texas or Florida. I will definitely check upon that white ESV that's nearby to me. It's in Staten Island. It had 4 owners 160 *** miles. Nice rims. And no rust according to pictures of course. 0 accidents. Though ESV is too big for me.

When you are doing your search, set the limit to 500 hundred miles, and look in that area. Then change to a city more than 500 miles away from you and do it all over again. Also, I don't know if you are specifically looking for 2003-2006, but if you are, when you get the results, you can do a page search (find) on "200" to weed out just about everything outside of that range. 2007, 2008, 2009, and anything listing 200 (miles, price, etc.) will still show up, but it will reduce the looking by a lot. Also, at least in my browser, it will only search the amount of results that are displayed. So if you come to the end of the "200" search, page down until you see another 200, then click find again. This is what I have been doing.

I had few vehicles checked by mechanic, but as far I figured that mechanic doesn't understand a thing about GM. I had GMC Yukon 2006 and 2005 Escalade, and he told me that they may have active fuel management system. But nevertheless, they had some issues so I dropped those offers. But can it be true about AFM? And how can I check and be sure about it?

our GMT800s do not have AFM in 2005 or '06...

Unfortunately that was now mine . I just choose the one who was closest to a meeting spot. 2 vehicles were near by.

I found a good beater. High milage but owner did a lot to it.
Hre is some description form owner. And 1 made report on vehicle.
8.1L with 4.10 rear gear perfect for towing, work truck or snow plow vehicle. Runs very good driven to Florida, Syracuse (a few times) and Boston in the last 4 months. Below is a list of what has been done and what needs some work still.

Replaced:

whole A/C system

front steering ( pitman, idler and inner/outer tie rods)

Front wheel bearings

All fuel lines

brake lines

Both fuel pumps

E-Brake cables

idler and tensioner

Drive shaft U-joints replaced

Newer 3 peak E-rated tires ( including spare with brand new matching rim about 6,000 miles on the tires)

Serpentine belt

Rear end was completely rebuilt last year ( about 4,000 miles ago)

Headlights and taillights (all LED)

Has pioneer door speakers, high and mid amp, and android radio ( wired carplay and android auto with backup cam and integrated dash cam)

Lower quarter panel, inside and outside doglegs have been replaced on both sides ( still needs some body work and paint)

rear hatch replaced with 2005 hatch with the improved rear glass hinge

Everything on the Yukon works including the heated seats and sunroof.

Issues with the Yukon:

Exhaust leaks ( hole in muffler, possible manifold leak)

Hydro boost starting to leak

Oil cooler lines at radiator has small leaks ( doesn't really leak much)

Waterpump makes starting making nosies every now and then but have a brand new one that will go with the truck

There’s probably a lot that has been replaced that im forgetting, basically the Yukon runs and drives very well, i daily it currently and drive it on road trips very ofthen.

Im looking to downsize as im not towing my RV anymore and want a smaller vehicle. Im open to trades for either a Subaru Outback or forester with cash on top if needed.
