Every now and then I'd check the GM Defense site for updates and for a while was finding nothing new so I forgot about it for a few months but with the inauguration and the plethora of Suburbans in use, I checked the site and viola, 2 new posts with some high res photos:

And then I saw in the YT sidebar this video which I never expected to see: Jay Leno drove one!
Jay spoke with Julie Cabus, Assistant Director for Training, Diplomatic Security Services & Brady Russel, Chief Engineer, DSS Armored Vehicle Program.
They get around 200 a year and sell off / get rid of / scrap about 200 as well. That number seems low considering how many Suburbans I see in the Capitol parking lots every inauguration but whatever.
Previous Suburbans went through 3rd party armoring, the new Suburban Shield was developed with the Dept of State.
Does retain more features like the civilian counterparts, more than the previous HD Suburbans.
Front driver window can roll down about 2"
The brakes are from the Hummer EV
Weighs 11,500 lbs base, can go up to 12,850 lbs fully upfitted.
~ $80,000 base price
Can burn high sulfur diesel in its Duramax straight-6 3 L
The other engine is the naturally aspirated l87 6.2L V8 engine
The new Suburban has a 10 Speed transmission ( both engines ) with a 1 speed transfer case.
Special variant of the Suburban called the Integrated Armored Vehicle is available for foreign countries to buy.
Bullet "ballistic" events won't necessarily total the vehicle, parts can be replaced, however explosions are "another story".
Windows are a laminated glass and plastic composite.
Notice the GM Defense Insignias on interior upholstery.
They put it up on the lift!
"Totally unique box frame" ( Made in North Carolina )
Surprisingly no armor underneath the car, it's in between the underbody and interior floor.
Not tinted as to not interfere with visibility.
Higher center of gravity.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised since he did recently get limited access to the USSS Presidential Limo "The Beast":
