Are the Escalade crossbars the same as the other GM SUVs' crossbars? I did a quick search of the forums, but most anything dealing with crossbars is 10 or more years old -- and not on topic for this question.

Nope. Completely different cross rails. The Tahoe/yukon cross rails are black plastic, they are a tad bit larger, and they mount to the top of the side rail and slide back and forth along the cross rails along the top channel that they sit in. The Escalade cross rails are a bit narrower, and they mount to the side rails along the inner edge in a small narrow channel to slide back and forth so the actual cross rail bolts to slider pieces on either end that fits into that inner channel on the inside edge of the chrome side rails. Are the Escalade crossbars the same as the other GM SUVs' crossbars?
