Care to share what oil weight, and oil change interval, you had been using?

Some anecdotal evidence suggests that perhaps the factory recommend 0W20 oil and relatively long oil change interval called for by the dash's oil life indicator might be a contributing factor to these early engine failures.

Curious to know what oil weight/ oil change interval you had been using.

Yup. Seems super sus. Hopefully OP comes back and posts more details other than my engine went kaboom.
Right? And down to the same "catastrophic engine failure" language...

We'll see if they return to post more info.

Feels like the FAQ ought to have some sort of template for reporting an engine failure:
Which Engine:
What Oil are you using:
What Fuel are you using:
Oil Change Interval:
Driving Conditions:
etc...

(Can't actually believe I am typing this up...)

Should we start a "Failed Engine Forum?"
