Dips in oil pressure when outside temperature is higher than usual - any ideas?

Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. It's been a little while since my post, and but here's the update and resolution. I ran it over to the dealer for diagnosis; they determined there was no 2nd and 4th gear, and gave me the bad new.....needed new trans (their estimate was pushing...- dmperfection

Thanks for the input; here's the update to my limited testing last night. I borrowed a friend's Snap-On MODIS scanner and hooked it up; too bad she didn't give me all the connectors - I was only able to do OBD scanning, and not able to do any of the diagnostics at the trans to test servos...- dmperfection

Replacement fuel pump
The pump went out at 43K miles on my '02 5.3L...I went with a Delco....I'm now at 158K miles with no problems.- dmperfection

Fuel Filter #@&*$&
I've replaced the fuel filter in my '02 Tahoe many times (approx. every 9K miles, since my fuel pump went out at 43K miles).
