    Thanks, I posted a few pictures & a question on a thread relating to rear seal replacement/ leak. I would need a mechanic and want to be fully informed, so I don't get taken. You know what I mean?

    Rear Main Seal

    I was told & shown that I have oil leaking from the rear main seal. I don't have the equipment or tools to do the job myself. What is a reasonable price for a mechanic to charge? (2002 Tahoe 5.3L 4x4). Attached are some pictures.

    Belt Issue???

    I'm 90% sure its the tension pulley, the serpentine belt is in good shape. Thanks guys, I'll update on what I find/fix.

    Belt Issue???

    I have a 2002 Tahoe 4x4; the belt makes a speaking/grinding noise when accelerating heavily, turning hard (left or right) or when wet. I'm not sure if its the serpentine belt, steeringbelt or more steeringfluid. Not sure what to do about it, but its occurring more often and is sometimes loud...
