I haven't even been able to find a long block, short block, or even a bare block aluminum 53 for that price around here... But I guess I also haven't looked that hard either.
On eBay you can find some of that trim with the button installed, or just the used trim without a button. But almost all the trim on there is not going to match the plane silver of your SSV.
A lot of them from what I remember seeing were wood grain.

Still need to get some loom to cover up the wires from some abrasion that is likely to happen.
And once I run a new lead for my sub amp, I will shorten and re-terminate the wires going into the distribution block on the positive terminal to clean that up.

Got the new Mechman 250amp alt installed after the original 165,000mi-old 160amp alt started dropping voltage at idle.
With the original alternator, my belt tensioner was perfectly in between the lines, with the new one having a smaller pulley, it's at the most loose part of the tensioner mark.
I hear that!
Mine's actually really lenient thankfully, but I try not to do anything that will make any sort of a mess. I think I've only done an oil change here one time and 7 years or whatever I've been here.

I've noticed recently that my Engine Oil Cooler Lines are covered in grime...havent looked yet, but id bet its a similar seal on the block causing my issue.
No drips yet at least.

Seemed like the best option, OEM sized pulley for high revving capability, but still makes 180A at idle.
Should be good to go after.

Filled the tank, again. 130mi, 18gal...Ive had a heavier foot than usual, also, traffic has picked up a lot the last 2 weeks for some reason.
Well, now when the fans kick on high, it drops to 12.5v and holds.
I can live with that, but I definitely want to do the big 3 and see where that gets me. Then a new alt to top it off.
All that said, I still haven't gone in for my fan or airbag recall.
So maybe the fans are pulling more than...
