Sorry new to lifting! I usually drop it to the ground. Lol. What are lift springs? They replace having a leaf spring in total. How are they for towing?

Im looking to do a 2-3" block and crank my t bars. Ive been reading info on here but Im still confused. I see everyone saying dont crank more then 2". I've read the tech that bowtie wrote up and still am confused lol I get the concept but just looking for more answers I guess
So I would...
I'll try drifting anything with a motor. I used to put my 98 1500 sideways around the corners. But my 4dr yuk is pretty fun getting sideways just a heat score cause I have 2 1/2" duals with no mufflers and it's loud as can be. But man does it grab some attention humming at 4000revs going...
Just installed mine today. Wow its like having a bathroom mirror on the side of my truck can see 3 lanes over on the hwy hahaha. Ill post a pic tomorrow
Yeah I used the oval gasket, and all the other gaskets were replaced with new ones. I know there is no leak. Its not an air or vacuum sound. If Im sitting in my truck it almost like a quiet fan noise near the dash. I remember reading about it which is why Im not worried about anything. I dont...
Psfr311 - total cost including new gaskets I bought and some other items was just over 300
Sunlit - I've read other post on here about the spider conversion. It's not air leaking just sounds almost like the fan is on when it's not. I've been told its the new conversion just sucking the gas.
I recently pulled the spiders out of my truck and put in the mpfi conversion. Not too hard to do by myself. From the time I opened the hood to the time I closed it was roughly 4 hours. It was pretty dirty under there so I gave everything a really good cleaning.
After all was said and done I...
Doing my spiders tomorrow. I like the dishwasher idea! Gunna try it out. I was thinking of using the old gaskets, like ryan said they are reusable. But bought a new set anyways with the higher mileage what does 30 bucks matter for a good seal and less of a headache.
Im sure my intake plenum...
So I finally got my new mpi spider. Going to do the install tomorrow. Just in time too man is it running rough today, I dont think I've heard a truck backfire so many times... hope my new cats are still good hahaha.
Im getting it from ebay, my initial thought was get my buddy to order it and sent it up here. But that would take long then the shipping from ebay. I need to get my done asap.
I put injector cleaner in and that seemed to help a bit but dont wanna have it running like crap again.
And the ***** of it... amazon wont ship those injectors to Canada! And amazon.ca doesn't have them. Its a special order item at the local shops around here.
No I have not. Thats why I decided to check here. Figured someone had an idea of what to look for? Now to play the stupid card, whats the best way to check the valves for stickness and injectors?
I was thinking about getting a new spider set up just for the hell of it. truck has high miles so...
So driving to work this morning I got a P0300 random misfire (at around 65mph it popped up) Also kinda hear a sputtering but i'm not sure if it's because of my new exhaust.
SOB, first thought of course. haha
For starters - parts that have been replaced in the last couple months -
down...
Great post Iamordnt, figured I'd just check out what was up on here to make life a little easier. I've done a few fuel filter before but any additional info helps.
Also Domin good call with the relay, didn't think bout that one either. Kept most of the fuel off me this time haha
Just had a p0300 code come up and figured what the hell lets see what has been done on here before I start tearing it apart.
I changed my cap rotor wires plugs about 2 months ago maybe. And today on my drive home boom I get a random misfire code. I'm sure it's not a spark problem although I'm...
I seafoamed my engine today, read a lot about it on the forum here which was really handy. Very impressed with it and how little effort it took. I put half of it into the vac hose off the booster and the other half into the gas tank
I recently did a complete tune up - plugs wires cap rotor and...
Recently bought mine...
Did a full tune, put on new direct fit cats (mine were toast), water pump and coolant flush within the last few days. Runs great now
