Hi All,

So I searched around (this site) to the best of my ability and didnt see anything quite like I was experiencing.

My 13 Tahoe rear lift gate works perfectly except if I try to open it remotely without a hand on it to assist for the first 6 or 8 inches it sounds like a Gatlin gun then eventually "catches" and finishes the move successfully without me assisting. There is never an issue closing or latching. Sounds like some kind of slipper clutch that may need to be tightened/replaced???

Anyone ever run into this or something similar?

Thanks

Jim

Mine was doing the same thing. Replaced the struts and she runs perfectly now. Now I need to figure out why my pressure pad wont work on the gate.

Thanks for the help, gonna replace mine. They looks original so at 11 yrs old, it is probably the cause...

Are you referring to the button on the backside of the handle on the tailgate? I know mine will only work if the doors are unlocked and still seems a bit touchy at times....

There is also a button on the center overhead console though I haven't used it yet...
