    Max Tire size 2006 size

My 2006 LT Tahoe has 33 inch Goodrich BF MT But I changed torsion keys at the front and installed Z71 coils at the rear before (I suggest this was not necessary to fit these tires). Even 33" wheels do not looks big enough for this car. As for 35" - I think body lift must be done first.

    Non-recognized vent hose

Hello everybody. Mb my question could be strange or dumb, but I didn't find any answers on this forum and in the whole web. 2-3 months ago I noticed the hose hanging down under the car. Checked this at car lift I have found that this is a vent hose (one end has typical vent valve and located...

    03-06 Tahoe stock LCD NAV

Thanks for responses, guys. The main reason - I want to install backup camera, and I want it to connect with an LCD/Audio unit. As I easily did on every previous cars (all Japanese), just go to aftermarket Audio for it. Tahoe is different, stock Audio controls half of the car)) As I mentioned...

Cabin Air Filters 2004 Tahoe LT

Yeah, seems stupid but you need to cut the opening. I used Dremel on mine. In Russia we all buy this cap from a guy who makes it on a 3D Printer (around 8$ :)). And there are a dozen of filters that fits perfectly (but GM OEM 52485513) BTW, GM in not unique in this crazy doing. My 00'Subaru...

    03-06 Tahoe stock LCD NAV

Hello all! I have 06'Tahoe with a stock BOSE Audio (looks like this - see below) Sometimes I can see on Amazon and Ebay that it could be other option - GM OEM LCD NAVI like this - AMAZON EBAY Could somebody advise me if it possible to just swap this instead of a stock BOSE unit? Maybe with...

My battery's going dead from Information center and dome lights.

Hello guys. Maybe there is a little different problem? I know well about my 06'Tahoe that it shuts all dome/audio electrical load after 10 minutes since key OFF. BUT - this will not work like that if I left the door open/ajar. Last time kids left dome light on (with button-click) and did not...

Need new shocks - best recommendations

Sorry for confusing. I thought TS has Z55 - Autoride truck. If I get everything right - ZW7 is more like Z71, but Z71 Moog analog is 81069, and ZW7 is 81071. They are pretty same sets, but 81069 is 1" higher.

    How to stiffen suspension/stop swaying?

Actually I was shocked with Hellwig solid sway bar links prices. WTF guys) If somebody intrested, in Russia we make this upgrade for about 13 USD ))

Need new shocks - best recommendations

Oh, sorry, as well mentioned by @Fless - you better check what coils you have at the rear. Original Autoride coil is left - 16mm bar diam, and it is higher - because of it is softer. Z71 coil is 17mm bar and shorter but harder.

    How to stiffen suspension/stop swaying?

Agreed with @PNW VietVet KYB Gas-A-Just is a great choice, you probably need to replace rear coils with Z71 version, my car feels much better after replacing stock Autoride coils with Moog 81069 set. My car also had this really annoying sway after I purchase it. So as I replaced almost...

Want to delete denali air ride, which springs?

I am not sure about the base 1500/2500 are different with the rear coils or not. But the simplest coil pick is a Moog 81069 Coil Spring Set. Very reasonable price/quality.

    Z95 resistor size

Sorry, not sure about MagnetRide Suspension. But AutoRide front resistors are 2.2Ohms 50W and 3.9Ohms 25W at the rear. Actually it will works with 3.9 Ohms 25W both front and rear. Check the resistance you mentioned - front (2K ohms) and Rear (7k Ohms) I think there should not be K - kilo Ohms...

    Creaking sound from right front

In addition to Jason's post, it could be some more options as well: 1) torsion bar bushing/s 2) body mount bushing/s 3) defective ball joint/s E.g. - supplier palmed off to me fake MOOG (bought the whole kit - from the front to rear incl. all stearing) this September with triple price...

Need new shocks - best recommendations

My Tahoe had original Autoride shocks at the front, and GM shocks from Hummer at the rear when I bought it. Previous owner tried to switch car from Autoride to Z71, but did it wrong (even coils were original - too soft without pneumatic). Now I replaced front with KYB Gas-A-Just KG5040 and...

    Removing the rear AC unit

Hello. Thought about it too (but for an other reason). Then remembered we have around -5F in winter, and decided to keep rear heater/AC working. IMHO you only need to replace T-connections (genuine are 15055342, 15055343) on coolant lines with straight fittings (guess Dorman 800-403 or 15119175...

LM7 Tahoe - increased fuel consumption

As I mentioned before - bad mileage was already there even with stock tires. Regarding to the lift - just changed rear from LT Autoride suspension to Z71 (shocks and coils), and aftermarket torsion keys on the front just to keep the front height at the factory defaults (old keys were almost...
