    seat backs keep falling...

Anybody got any ideas on how to fasten sagging seat backs on the front buckets? I've had them off but don't see any way to tighten them back up so they stay up. I'm referring to the plastic panels and pockets... Its really annoying! Thanks.

    Navi install in non-bose truck

I think I confused you guys with the question (and see I worded it wrong, been working a power plant outage and am a zombie right now). I am considering installing an 09 NAV unit into an 09 Suburban without Bose. It is my understanding that the NAV unit will not work without an external...

    Navi install in non-bose truck

Hey guys- I just picked up an 09 LT Suburban without nav or bose. I'd like to install a factory nav head unit but understand it won't work with the bose amp. Is there a wiring harness I can get that will allow me to use an aftermarket amp (RF is my go-to) with the factory nav receiver? I...

Buttons on my Escalade radio are wearing off

Anybody tried these? They are expensive but other than replacing the unit (with a used one that might start peeling immediately anyway), it might be the best option. I need to fix some buttons on my newly acquired 09 bus.

    Replacement Carpet for 06

Thanks guys- we dropped the 06 and found an 09 I think we are grabbing. I'll have gallons of coffee to get out of the carpet on this one too so I might pull it and pressure wash it if I can't do it good enough in place. Seat belts are filthy too. I don't think they ever cleaned it. Dirty...

    Replacement Carpet for 06

Hey guys- I've been out of the loop for a while on here. We still have our 2002 Tahoe (pushing 245K miles now) but I have been pleasantly distracted by a '70 C-10 project truck I got. Anyway- we are looking at an 06 LT Suburban (low miles) and the carpet is absolutely filthy nasty. I spent...

    DIY Dash Cover Change-Out?

Thanks Ryan... Turned out a lifter was failing in the engine and needed to be replaced with the cam (that was why the truck was traded in). The job turned a great deal into a so-so deal so we let it go.... We're watching for an 08 or newer and chances are the dash will be cracked too so good...

    DIY Dash Cover Change-Out?

I might be trying out another NNBS (had an 08 Tahoe LT briefly)- the dealer my wife works at took in a higher mileage (140K) but very clean 07 Yukon SLT (one local owner) on trade. Of course the dash is cracked...... Has anybody replaced one themselves? I'm trying to get an idea of what's...

    Rear A/C blowing hot

The freon was too low in mine (down 1.5 lbs). Both front and back are ice cold now. It looks like I lost the freon through one of the Schrader valves over the winter (which I identified by the dye in the system).

2004 GMC Yukon SLT - Rear Air

Yep, I saw- that's why the post was sent just in general. I didn't see anyone suggest doing that. I thought to check the rear actuator first before my mechanic buddy said check the Freon. Now if I could get my front blend working better (seems to be a sharp difference between cold and hot...

2004 GMC Yukon SLT - Rear Air

Everybody is anxious to jump in that back panel and put a new actuator in but it might be wise to get the Freon checked first. I redid all my air last year and it worked great. Then at Christmas, in FL, the A/C wasn't blowing cold. Turned out I lost most of the Freon through one of the...

    Rear A/C blowing hot

Did you get this sorted out? I noticed last week that the rear air isn't working on my 02 (my wife drives it and didn't report the issue to the maintenance department - me). Did the whole changeout of parts last fall when my compressor started locking up (clutch was failing). Didn't change...

    Rear Main Oil Leak? *pics

My flywheel looked completely dry when my rear main was leaking. If he thinks it might be the oil pan, its a far easier job than the main and might be worth a try first (as long as the truck is a 2WD anyway)

    foglight housing shakes

I actually found a pair of OEM brackets (yes, brackets only) on eBay and thought the answer to my shaky-shaky problems was found. Apparently GM did not keep the same foglamps/brackets throughout the NBS run and they didn't fit at all. Completely different than mine. Figuring I'd never be able...

    foglight housing shakes

I messed around with mine for a while and redid the mounts, eliminating the springs and replacing them with bolts and spacers. I thought I had it until I put them back on the truck. I think that whole lower valance is flimsy and adds to the vibration. I just leave mine off.

    foglight housing shakes

I thought it was just the shit aftermarket ones I had that did that. (the OEM's were missing when I bought the truck). Is there a solution? I've dicked around with them but not been able to come up with anything that worked. Mine shake so much I can't even use them- they just fill the holes...
