Yes I tested before putting everything back. Theses lights don't need resistors they are aftermarket not oem caddillac. It was just one plug that plugged into the factory harness no messing with any electrical. The hardest part about the installation was trying to remove the harness clip lol... -

start by removing 4 plastic pieces they are held by clips (remove gently) the top plastic is held by 1 screw Begin removing the top piece held by 3 screws and clips on the side. The light is held by only 2 screws and 3 clips also (be gentle with the clips) After everything is removed then... -
