I am fairly smitten over my new Tahoe Premier (especially after adding a few modifications)….however I have one single complaint that is driving me nuts that I can’t seem to pretend is not there. The auto transmission shift from 1st to 2nd gear is ridiculous. There is a clear pause before 2nd...
Exactly!!! Love the chrome elimination but it still needs a little contrast. Not a fan of tinting headlights or taillights ever. I actually almost just did the grille and the tailgate trim and left the chrome on the window trim as to give it a little more contrast, but it just looked so much...
I’m 20% all around and 50% on the windshield. In person and outside it actually looks really great but not so dark anyone would pull you over. I’ve had it on my last 3 trucks and will never not get it done in the future. So necessary for us big front window drivers. Heat difference alone is...
Purchased the caps from Amazon. See the attached pic. Taking the old ones off took a bit of “McGuvering” to say the least. Ultimately got gorilla glue tape, created a mini makeshift tape handle attached to the cap, and by ripping it off the center cap popped off…eventually. Took a few tries but...
For me it’s about understanding the options/packages for both prices and what you can/cannot upgrade at a later time. A grill is easy to wrap/plasti black at a later time to meet your taste, a 6.2l engine is not. So when you compare the SLT and the RST make sure you add in the cost for mods to...
Agreed with the Denali Front (though id prefer it in black). As I mentioned, outside of that specific trim, the new Tahoe look beats the Yukon 9/10. The front end of the RST (well the entire package) is just about perfect looking. Once I finish a few things with my exterior next week I’ll post...
I’ve sat in both and they are no where near that huge of a difference to me.
Frankly, my wife and I believe the new Tahoe’s have a significantly better exterior than the Yukons. If you were to put a Premier next to a SLT it’s not even close IMHO. That said, I would probably give the Denali and...
If you like the Yukon, why not look at a Tahoe build instead. Seems like Sequoia is a much different direction that what you were hoping to get, and my money would be on a ton of difficulty getting a new hybrid anytime this year. Just my .02
Thanks man! I actually do as well, which is why I am just doing the Grill (not the emblem) and the chrome strip on the back. Will have similar style to the new escalade sport with the floating emblem in front and blacked out rear, but will still have the window trim chrome and the exhaust...
2022 Tahoe Premier, black on black.
Ceramic coat, front grille plasti dip and a few chrome trim pieces vinyl wrapped to come next Tuesday.
Stay tuned..
Doing the exact same on Tuesday. Just confirmed it all today. Dipping the entire grill, wrapping all the chrome, powder coating exhaust tips, ceramic coat and have the 22” black gloss GM wheels installed.
Should look something like this…
Nice! It looks like the Premier will be here this week and I’m likely going that route. With the blacked out badges and wheels already, just some small chrome wrapping and it should be perfect. Send me pics when you finish. Wrapping the whole thing or just the chrome?
