I think the springs are to soft myself especially for anyone hauling anything but I am glad I have auto on mine but I plan on doing the free travel mod and getting a set of Energy Suspension Bump Stops. No drop is guaranteed to work perfect and I learned that the hard way back in the early 90's.
Tony treated me well and gave me all the info I needed for my drop which was Belltech and wheels I ordered from him in a super fast fashion. The bump stop bracket removal was not explained but when you drop anything always expect that something else will need a few mods. I have had lowered...
Okay so me and Norcal have been talking all morning long and figured out the problem. So as embarrassing as this is we forgot to switch out the bump stops to the shorter stop provided in the kit which we threw away, lol. Driving around on bump stops ftl, sigh... Jacked up the truck and pulled...
Unclipping the shocks made a good difference in ride quality. Over all I am very pleased with the drop as the looks for me out weights how it rides now. Now it does not look like a soccer moms Tahoe, lol
Thanks all for the comments. I was very surprised how the drop changed the look of the truck and was very pleased. Once I got the new wheels and tires on I was more than pleased with the outcome of the upgrades.
Spindles up front, springs in rear. Front feels great, it is the rear that is a bit more stiff I would say and it is because once it is dropped with the Belltech springs they really compress with around only 2 1/2 free coils for travel.
It is a much different ride for sure but I would not say it is rough, just not as smooth and does not float like it did before.

I still might end up snagging a set of Billets this summer.
Okay so of course I am still waiting for my subs to get here so I ordered some wheels and a drop kit from Tony to give me something to do in the mean time.
