Trans Leaking out the front. 04 Yukon XL
I had the truck towed to a trans shop yesterday. They are putting in a rebuilt trans, with an upgraded 3/4 shift pack, a hardened shell, and I'm having them do a rear main seal. Total is $1400 with a 2 year warranty. The place get great yelp reviews. They said it should be done on Friday...- blown240

I just got back from SEMA, and there is a HUGE puddle of trans fluid under my XL. Like the size of a trash can lid, and running... Its either leaking from between the bellhousing and the trans, or the pan. I assume its the front seal, or converter. Also, Ive noticed lately that when it...- blown240

Ya, Sawsall is what I meant. Autocorrect changed it. The yard I was at doesn't allow grinders, so all I could use was a sawzall and a hole saw to get started. I was so frustrated at the yard that I didn't get pics.... Do you have any pics or a thread here? I must have missed it.... -

Thanks for all the replies! I absolutely agree with safety first. Thats why I am getting a donor floor to work from, and not just rigging something up. I have an extra 3rd row that I was going to put in my 61, but never did. How do I tell if its from a Tahoe or Suburban? I will get pics.... -

Im not sure if I will do frontwards or backwards. Im leaning towards forwards since, but I will have to play with the extra seat to see what works better. I have a feeling that forwards will have better leg room, but obviously backwards will give easier access. It will only be small kids... -

Is disconnecting the battery enough? Or is there something that holds a charge for a while that I need to be concerned with?
