Nope not a head gasket I know that much I've fixed bunch of those and any car I've worked on or seen with one still runs with a blown head gasket but I bit the bullet and had to move it to a shop had to clear the room in the garage
Well I know it cause I pulled the lines going into it and far as how much I'm assuming its enough considering my pump checked good and its building up enough preassure that when I went to remove line it shot up and hit the hood
I have a 97 Tahoe 5.7 vortec it was running fine then it just died changed fuel filter and still nothing can still hear pump and getting good pressure to lines behind the throttle body but its not getting any gas in the throttle body can dump gas down it and it runs. What am I missing any help
Driving home tonight and I notice my battery gauge jumping around and it gets worse when I stop pull in the driveway shut it off checked connections they where good went to start it back it ran for,a second then died what could it be
allright i should mention that it just started doing it a couple days ago and at idle it still holds good pressure and if i put it in a gear and hold the brake and give it gas its still good it only drops when i take off from a stop
i have a 97 tahoe and when i give it gas the oil pressure drops down enough to get the gauge light to come on but then it rises back up after just second and goes back to normal what could be the problem any help would be appreciated
