@mwilson62000 and @Marky Dissod when you experienced this did the engine stumble at all? Mine runs fine and it just instantly shuts off. I've had the intake tube off a couple times but haven't noticed anything in the throttle body.
@mwilson62000 it's not limited to just idle. The second time it happened last night I was driving through town at roughly 30 mph.
@CBIII right now I don't have anything to monitor fuel pressure. I only have a phone app and it does appear to be one of the parameters it looks at.
Well the loose positive connection was a good find this morning but it didn't fix the issue. The engine died on me twice tonight while I was in town. When this happens again though I need to pay attention to whether or not I need to cycle the ignition off for it to start again. The first time...
I checked battery voltage this morning. From sitting over night it was reading 12.3v and then 13.9v when running. The positive connection was actually a bit loose bit ground was tight. Suppose monitor for now and see if it happens again and then dive in deeper.
@iamdub right, the thing can barely seemingly move its own ass sometimes :D
Anyway, battery is only a few months old but I can check the voltage in the morning. Alternator was actually just replaced a few weeks ago. I did read some stuff about failed ignition switches and pass-lock issues...
Researching this myself but figured I'd see what the brain trust had to say. Has anyone had an issue where the engine just randomly dies? I've had this twice now this week. Monday I was driving through a parking lot at idle and the engine just died for no reason that I could tell. It started...
So there isn't much of a benefit to doing headers unless I were to do cam? Since that's something that may not happen for a while if it even does I'm probably better off then keeping stock manifolds.
The tune I do want to do here at some point. That intake swap is definitely intriguing though.
If I did do a cam swap its something thats going to be farther off in the future. Not sure when that would actually happen since I've been focused more on fixing other issues with it that show up (I've had it home and driving it for a little over a month now). The tune is something I want to...
Well look at that :D. I guess this isn't as serious as I was thinking then. Still got broken manifold bolts but since I couldn't see a split on drivers side I figured something was wrong with the passenger side.
Alright, help me chart a path here guys.
A little background. Yesterday after work I was crawling around under my hood looking for an oil leak since my engine has been kinda slobbering on itself and seemingly dripping a bit onto the exhaust (thinking valve cover gaskets right now). I noticed...
The system functions if use manual or auto. But for some reason the AC compressor shuts off if I try to enable the system with the button on the HVAC module.
@Fless OK I just ask because my HVAC module seems a bit goofy. The AC compressor doesn't engage if I enable the AC with the switch but the system does function if I turn the temperature down with the knobs.
So I stopped and picked up the air box tonight. The bottom pieces are identical, but someone did remove the tube thing from inside of mine. The cover does have a restriction indicator.
Replacement and the original.
I noticed the other day that my air box lid has a broken tab for one of the screws. I'm not sure what the assembly code is for it but its not the high capacity K47 option. I called a couple local salvage yards seeing if they would have one and no one did. But one place did have the K47...
So I'm needing to change out my trailer light plug and also need to find a home for it because the mounting bracket has rusted away. Has anyone else mounted theirs in the bumper like this? Anyone done anything different? I'm not really a fan of the mounting bracket that would locate the plug...
