I can find nothing in the owners manual that says not to use auto in certain conditions. IN fact, the service guy first told me to run my truck in 4WD for a couple hundred miles to wear the clutches down as they were too tight. They've gone on to say they identified the issue and have corrected...
I feel like I have some closure and potentially some answers for some others. I was able to order a new LTZ Tahoe today which was fine, I added the retractable running boards, and the upgraded 22'' wheels. I previously had the "standard" 22'' wheels but wanted something a bit different so I'm...
So my plot thickens somewhat...the truck reserved for me to replace the one with the issue being bought back - that I was supposed to pick up tomorrow - was "sold out from under" the dealer, or so they say. I am now still in the damn Traverse tin can, with no visibility of when a replacement...
I drove mine initially in auto mode and of course got the light, as well as a high pitched chirping from the selector knob. I didn't think about it till after getting the loaner which I drove in 2WD. They bought mine back and are supposed to give me the new LTZ this week or next. I will drive...
Likewise...I'm thrilled about the buy back and should have mine next week. In the meantime I'm rolling in a loaner traverse and it feels like a tin can. lol
Good stuff Scott, glad it's working out for you. Fingers crossed that the light doesn't come back on in 100 miles or so.
I'm told my new Tahoe is on the Dealers lot now, they brought it in from out of state. My paperwork is with GM and I should hopefully be in the new rig in a day or two.
Given they are telling me I have to take one from their lot it almost makes me think this is a courtesy exchange and not a GM offered true "buy back" which would mean they would just cut me a check and I could go wherever and buy something else.
I even offered to pay the difference and move...
They just offered it - said it was because it was going to take some serious digging from their engineering group to sort out what was wrong with it.
I just thought that a true "buy back" meant they gave me the cash I had invested and I walked. I'm not comfortable with having to choose a...
Ok guys, quick update - GM is buying my truck back. I'm told I have to choose one from their "network" and they don't have the color combination I originally bought so while I'm not thrilled about having to chose a vehicle I "almost love" I'm glad they are doing the buy back.
Seems odd that...
Please do....mine is still in the shop after 11 days the dealer is no closer to fixing it. I'm told they are having a field engineer come to their shop this week and have a look - I'm not holding my breath. If any one else has this problem solved please chime in.
Thanks for the feedback Scott...
I have the SUN package with the flip down DVD screen but it's nearly impossible to use the rearview mirror with the screen down. I was thinking about doing headrest monitors as an alternative and using the center flip down screen only when I have more than 2 passengers in the back. Anyone done this?
Mine has been in the shop for 8 days now. The first time it was in for the service 4WD light they said they fixed it by tightening a connection at the transfer case. Light was out for about 100 miles before coming back on, I experienced the difficulty in moving the vehicle during tight turns as...
I spoke with John again today, this guy is solid. Regardless of what happens I will buy from there again. Still no fix to my truck but the customer service has been outstanding.
