Guys, aside from not having my truck I couldn't ask for a better dealer. I've been dealing with the sales manager John at Koons Chevrolet in Tysons Corner VA. He's been terrific at keeping me in the loop, I just hope they can sort out what the issue is. And giving me a LTZ Tahoe to drive as a...
Another quick update...at days end today I'm told they have done everything that tech support has advised them to do with no success. They are now awaiting GM engineering to get involved and advise on next steps.
Mine has been at the local dealers shop for a few days now as well. It seems local technicians are ill prepared to service these trucks...I'm told they are getting guidance via a tech support line they call. Not all that reassuring to be honest.
They are working with GM engineering at this point and will let me know. As promised a driver showed up at my office today to swap my truck for a loaner, a LTZ Tahoe same color as mine as a loaner so nothing to complain about at this point. Really impressed with the service.
I have a 2015, given it was in the shop last week I would have assumed they would have done the ref lash or whatever to the transfer case. I'll look for the sticker as indicated.
The sales manager has been great, he's actually sending someone with a loaner to my office tomorrow to pick up the...
Regarding the 4G...I'm told that dealer can add this to early 2015 models that don't come with the 10th gen On-star. I was looking forward to it but the subscription costs for that are pretty high.
They tell me there is a bad wire somewhere in the dash, they've ordered the wire and I can bring the truck back in a week or so when the wire arrives and they'll replace it. Interestingly, since picking the truck back up the screen hasn't cut out at all.
So I picked up the truck and the light is in fact out. They told me it wasn't the clutches in the transfer case, rather a connector that wasn't all the way tight from the factory that had worked it's way loose. They reinstalled the connection and say it's fine now. I'm not totally confident at...
Isn't that always the case? I hear ya...I was fortunate in that both the mechanic and the salesman saw my screen flickering. Per whoever the local dealer service department called, this is a known issue apparently related to the wire they have to dig into. My fear now is I'm going to have a...
It's just disappointing to have a 70k vehicle and in less than 200 miles it's in the shop with little to no answers. I'm tempted to tell them to just keep it and give me the Denali - i'll pay the difference elf course. I've had the car 4 days...perhaps they would be willing to take it back and...
On the way to the dealer to have the service 4WD light checked out I noticed the center screen was cutting in and out like an old TV with rabbit ear antenna. After several hours I'm told they need to keep it over night to tear the dash apart and wiggle wire. If that duplicates the issue they'll...
Not much to share at this point, the service department is telling me they called the tech support group and they were told the clutches in the transfer case have been noted as being too tight, and advised me to drive the vehicle in 4H for a "few hundred miles" and see if the problem goes away...
165 miles and I got a service 4WD message (Advice please)
As the title says...I'm taking it in tomorrow to have it looked at and will post that the issue was.
I just took delivery of my 2015 LTZ w/o the power running boards. The truck has everything else I wanted so I was hoping to add them aftermarket or with OE equipment. Anyone know if this is possible? The parts department at the dealer is telling me they don't come as a kit, rather a "bunch" of...
