On the way to the dealer to have the service 4WD light checked out I noticed the center screen was cutting in and out like an old TV with rabbit ear antenna. After several hours I'm told they need to keep it over night to tear the dash apart and wiggle wire. If that duplicates the issue they'll have to order another one - resulting in a second appointment to drop the truck of for this wire change. If the wire is not the issue they need to change the screen, again resulting in a second service visit.

Not starting out well for a vehicle with less than 200 miles on it.

Ouch. That's annoying. Hopefully they find a quick fix.

It's just disappointing to have a 70k vehicle and in less than 200 miles it's in the shop with little to no answers. I'm tempted to tell them to just keep it and give me the Denali - i'll pay the difference elf course. I've had the car 4 days...perhaps they would be willing to take it back and do the trade out.

I've had 2 problems with my Denali as well in the first 1000 miles. I think we all are going to pay the price and get to iron out the first year redesign bugs. I'm hopeful I have mine all straightened out and good to go. No new problems lately.

They all have problems though. I have a friend that bought a brand new Civic a couple weeks ago and the instrument cluster already failed.

What sort of issues have you had with the Denali?

LF seat was loose (shifted anytime weight shifted) and the transfer case control module was making a terribly annoying electrical noise.

Both were more trouble to accurately pinpoint than repair.

I have had the center screen on my Tahoe Infotainment:

•Not turn on at all until a reboot of the vehicle.

•Lockup in between menus for approximately 10 minutes, or certain menu's were not accessible until reboot of vehicle.

•Backup guides stay on while driving forward and overlay on other menu screens.

Of course the dealer couldn't replicate it as it didn't do it for them...

Isn't that always the case? I hear ya...I was fortunate in that both the mechanic and the salesman saw my screen flickering. Per whoever the local dealer service department called, this is a known issue apparently related to the wire they have to dig into. My fear now is I'm going to have a rattling dash board after they tear it apart at least twice.

What's surprising to me is how little the local techs know about this truck. I understand it's a first model year and all...but do they not offer training etc. for mechanics or do they just depend on them calling some tech support line for help with everything but an oil change?
