I carried it to a friends shop. He’s good and if it doesn’t need a part it doesn’t get it. He’s got 10 bays and they stay full. I’ll report back when I hear something. The theft Deterrent Module kicked in and illuminated the light on the dash. Tried the relearn 3 times and no go.
Less than a year. I had it load tested. Good. Been on a charger over a week while we did the testing and key relearns. Did the full relearn 3 times today. No go. Friend bringing a car hauling trailer in the morning with a winch. Signs made. Another Quality GM Product. No it won’t crank or turn...
Well new problem. Now when it sits idle for 10 or 15 minutes all power shuts off and you have to turn the headlights on and it will resume. Anti theft light on and I’ve tried the key relearn 3 times with no success. I think it’s time for it to go to the dealer.
It’s not a power issue. Scanner will connect to everything but the ECM, BCM and TCM. I can pull up information on the theft Deterrent Module. Power pins are powering. I need a wiring diagram or need to know which pin on the ECM or BCM is supposed to connect to the diagnostic tool connector...
I’m still getting no communication message. Pin 6 on dtc is what the Tech II is saying but I have no idea what or where it is supposed to connect. Anyone have an idea?
I thought it was. The info I can find says it has to be programmed by the dealer but would the key relearn do it? Thanks
Guess I was typing while you were
That Chevron ( AC Delco) oil in 5w30 is some pretty robust oil. Check out the specs on it at PIQA. I thought about going to it but I’ve stayed with the M-1. I use the Ultra 10575 filter on both of my Chevys and use the Ultra filter on my diesel tractor.
Well nothing to report today. I did change out the ground cable because it didn’t fit the battery terminal as tight as I would have liked but it didn’t help. I pulled every fuse and checked with ohm meter, all good. I don’t think it is in the security system. I enabled it and it works just like...
Well didn’t get anything done today but had the battery load checked. Good there. My friend got hold of his mechanic buddy and he is going to loan him his Tech2 scanner and going to try it tomorrow. We’ve all been combing the internet and think it is a security system problem. The ignition...
I don’t know but I did the 30 minute relearn and it didn’t help. It’s so random about when it starts. It doesn’t crank every time and the gauges not working makes me think they are not getting connected to the motor or body of the truck. I’ve got someone else going to come by and take a look. He...
I disconnected the extra grounds and it still cranks the same. Won’t crank every time but when it does it runs about 3 seconds. It will accelerate and go into gear but you have to be fast. The sensor you said wasn’t necessary, I’ll try unplugging it and maybe change the cable out. Maybe I can...
I did and it cranked more times but still goes dead after 2 or 3 seconds and gauges still not working. The pass lock light stays on while it’s running then goes off after it dies. What does that round thing on the ground cable with wires going to it do? I ran another ground to the engine with...
Every thing else works. Power windows, door locks, A/C blower, and all the lights. It will crank and run every now and then but only for 2 or 3 seconds. Something isn’t making a connection somewhere either electronically or physically. I bought the vehicle used 2 or 3 years ago. I took the...
I also tried to check it out with a code reader but kept getting a message unable to connect.
Also checked every fuse and relay. I checked the cables. Removed the ground cable from the block (no corrosion) cleaned and put dielectric grease on the cable end and on the threads of the bolt. Hooked...
Hello to everyone. This thing is driving me crazy. 2011 Tahoe won’t turn over or crank. The little line under the gear selection or shifter selection blinks 3 times and goes off. When it stays on it will crank up and run for about 3 seconds. The fuel gauge , Tach and temp gauge are not working...
