Any scan tool options, not a Tech2?

Where do you buy a Tech2 clone? I can't even find a genuine Tech2 for sale.

Thinking of buying a 2005 tahoe

My 2005 has been the best rig I have ever owned. I have been trying to find another one and there are slim pickens under 200,000 miles. I'd say the biggest issue is the HVAC system and the cluster solder/stepper motors.

Any scan tool options, not a Tech2?

How do you connect yours? Do you use windows 7? I have been reading sketchy things about these Chinese clones, so I am not so sure about that.

Any scan tool options, not a Tech2?

Does anyone have any recommended scan tools that can talk to our HVAC actuators, that is not a Tech2? Having rough time with the air recirculation actuator among others.

Are you saying it did not do this before you parked it? And now, even with tire balance and alignment it does the shimmy shakes? Does it matter what speed you are going? Is the vibration only at 55mph or can you feel it at 10mph? Power steering have issues?

A comprehensive scan test along with transmission pressure testing should provide the required evidence.

A simple thing you can do is unplug all your connectors and spray them with Deoxit or other type of contact cleaner. Could be oxidation on contacts or not, but a good thing to do anyway.

Caliper cutting grooves into aluminum wheel?

They don't salt out here in Olympia. The Tahoe has little-to-no rust, even on exposed metal.

Rattling / Resonance from RR under light throttle

You might get a humming bird sound from that heat shield once in a while depending on how loose it becomes. Sometimes when idling, but anytime is possible. I was able to wedge a nice rock into mine.

Caliper cutting grooves into aluminum wheel?

The caliper appears to ride about a 1/4" away from the inner side of the wheel, yet these grooves are there. The full circumference. These are stock Tahoe wheels. The deep groove on the inside of the wheel is odd enough as I can find it on all four wheels. We live 2 miles up a gravel road, so I...

Caliper cutting grooves into aluminum wheel?

Has anyone seen this on their own rigs? A groove or grooves being cut into the wheel from the caliper? It the craziest thing, because the caliper is a 1/4" from the wheel. I thought maybe it was some gravel, but after removing the wheel and inspecting the caliper, there was aluminum shavings...

You need a pretty good scan tool to read live data on these rigs. Most brands of scan tools are self helpful or there will be a video about it somewhere.

First thing I thought would be vacuum leak somewhere, but you need to look at some data, like @Fless said.
