    Unbolting front driveshaft

Get it marked and bolts out, but holy shit was it stuck here on there lol. Couldn't get it out and didn't want to bother further. Ended up putting exhaust clamp from top with sweat and pain after 1000th try instead of trying to reach from the bottom and get the exhaust/pipe out.

    Unbolting front driveshaft

Hey folks, Coming back with another dumb question, but figured i'd better ask before taking it apart. Yukon 08 Denali, AWD. I need to detach front driveshaft from engine side of ujoint ( 4 small bolts ) to move it a little and reach out to exhaust/pipe bolt. I remember on 09 F-150 the rear...

    6.2 L92 rear main seal

Check the tranny cooler lines, i had leak around the same area. Turned out tranny cooler line gasket leaking, replacing one this week. My first though was also rear main seal, but after watching couple of vids explaining where and how it would leak i removed the plate/cover where the oil was...

Hey folks, looking for any tips, tricks and suggestions on getting Manifold Bolts off of Y-Pipe :) Bolts on mine decided to become one with nuts I tried a little penetrating oil and only have medium impact ( ~500lb breakaway torq ), no luck, doesn't budge. Right now looking around to see if...

Rattle in front of the engine

How common are lifter collapses on non-afm ls engines?

Rattle in front of the engine

The piston slap on cold is there but it’s different yeah. That was fan i think. Welp, hopefully nothing too bad, will check the leak tomorrow and if not that, start taking the top apart i guess

Rattle in front of the engine

Thank you everyone! Took both belts off, actually AC belt is easy to remove/install  Definitely quiet now from other pieces being noisy, but the knocking seems to persist. Seemed to get louder/persistent once it warmed up in few seconds without water cooling running. Does that sound...

    2007 Yukon Denali (155k/8600$ ) vs Tahoe LTZ (174k/7000$)

Was going to take it somewhere for rust protection, but that makes me wonder whether i should get the gun instead and do it myself, will cost the same this year and massive savings in future years. Plus i guess i'll have confidence what exactly was covered.

    2007 Yukon Denali (155k/8600$ ) vs Tahoe LTZ (174k/7000$)

It's even colder there! :D I'm in most Southern town in Canada, we get almost no snow, so cars will have less rust but 15y cars will still have some. Trying to keep my cars covered with good rust protection yearly though

    2007 Yukon Denali (155k/8600$ ) vs Tahoe LTZ (174k/7000$)

We don't have that luxury here in Canada unfortunately, everything is snow haha.

    2007 Yukon Denali (155k/8600$ ) vs Tahoe LTZ (174k/7000$)

I've noticed the rust tends to stick mostly to fenders and they are pretty straightforward to fix with 3m repair kits on Amazon or even cheap enough to replace whole fenders

Rattle in front of the engine

Hey folks, trying to diagnose this weird rattle in front of the engine. It’s not constant, comes and goes randomly. Doesn’t sound like it’s inside the engine plus it’s the non-afm 6.2. Only had time to film it this morning and do a quick check, will be doing deeper dive this weekend. Has...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Just had s3x with yukon for 2 days, we tried allll different poses and my hand/fingers tried going into extremely tight places. Developed an exhaust leak and smell. All bolts on manifold were intact, but soapy water test indicated leak at driver side last bolt. Got myself bolt extractors, new...

Strut boot has tear, how bad?

Update: Might end up replacing sooner, the driver side looks shot, measured both sides and drive sides sits about inch lower, guess thats why i felt like my Fat ass was leaning left haha. Guess ill keep z55 and get tool rented to get the strut out

Strut boot has tear, how bad?

I skipped the ACDELCO ones since they didn't look like ones that fit Z55s, or am i missing something?

Strut boot has tear, how bad?

Unfortunately nothing is available for Z55 on just struts either :( Rockauto has Arnott only for Z95, for Z55 there seems to be MONROE or SACHS, but both are still over 500$ CAD + shipping each. Guess i'll see closer to christmas, might decide by then if i want to convert to save $ or go for...

    Autoride bypass

Reviving from the grave! Does anyone know if i can replace Z55 just the FRONT with regular struts and keep rear with Air? Will the rear still work properly and balance the car as expected or you need both front and rear working nicely together? Rear side seems cheap to fix with parts readily...

Strut boot has tear, how bad?

Got it, thanks folks! Another quick q, does anyone know by chance if you can convert ONLY the front Z55 and keep rear air shocks with compressor? Or the computer wants both working together? Might have to convert to regular struts in future, the only adequately priced struts with Z55 were "FCS...
