Performance shops in Indian River/St Lucie county Florida

Down in Stuart are CTM Customs and Extreme Performance. In Port Saint Lucie there is Poston's Performance. Poston's has done exhaust work for me twice and we've used CTM Customs for tie rods and tire installation on our lifted truck before. No complaints with any of them. I also have a...

Dustin Jacksons 2008 Chevy Tahoe Build Thread

Leaking, once the seals start to leak, it's time to rebuild or replace. The bushings that insulate it from the chassis usually go first and are now replaceable too.

17 foot pounds Hub? Have you measured tie rod play on both the inner and outer tie rods? Any movement over 1 millimeter is out of spec.

New 2007 Yukon XL Denali Owner looking for a service manual before tracking down oil leaks

GM does show a PCV valve for your truck, none of mine have them, it's 12567915. Confirm this with your VIN. Use OE plugs and wires, the computer system is designed to work around the resistance they provide, about 800 ohms, 41-162/19417055 plugs and 748UU/19351593 wires. There is no fuel...

Coil Replacement… They should be ashamed.

Half a million miles on three trucks of the same engine and haven't replaced a coil yet. Bad wires and bad plugs can cause a rough idle or even a misfire. Our computer systems are designed for wires that have about 800 ohms of resistance and wires with less resistance are ******* factory...

Oil pressure drop after addition of OEM Oil Cooler?

The LC9s oil pressure bypass spring keeps the oil pressure at about 33 psi under load once the engine is warmed up. On mine, there's some space between the needle and the 40 psi mark. I think the Tech-2 said 37-38 psi once. Now, having hit 200K miles, she idles at about 23-25 psi in gear at...

Coil pack test - Is there an easy way?

Watch this and look at the tool he uses to see if the coils are sparking through the wires. We use our Tech-2s too.

New 2007 Yukon XL Denali Owner looking for a service manual before tracking down oil leaks

The guy on Ebay that I've bought from was SeriousCTBuyer. The current AllDataDIY is so improved that I rarely use the pdfs anymore, it's easier to look things up on the computer since I keep it open all the time.

Don't remember which, my VPN and anti-virus messed up the connection to the cars once. Kids fixed it for me.

    Average MPH

It can. When I've properly changed a battery the information stayed in memory. When the cars were jumped and they often had their counters reset. My Yukon just reset again when my wife tried to jump it. It did not reset when I changed the battery a few days later.

    Average MPH

The engine hours have reset several times on my Yukon. I have a theoretical time of 6,549 hours after 204,280 miles. Her average speed with me for the last eight years has been 31.2 mph. My fuel used has rolled over after 10,000 gallons. It's now almost 14,000 gallons since new. My 2013...

Here's mine and it shows the differences between Mobil One and ACDelco oil after the 2019 oil change. The other is from my Sierra, showing the difference in wear between ACDelco and Quaker State Full Synthetic after 3 oil changes on each oil before testing.

Swap in used engine and transmission from wreck help!

If yours were mine I'd have the transmission overhauled/replaced and put in the lower temp thermostat, that is what destroyed your current one. A billet torque converter as well and spend the rest of the $10K on a little vacation. The transmissions in these things die at about 100k miles...
