I thought you were going to say that the "Jacks" part was something like "ear jacks" or ear buds and works thru the cell phone. Hell, I am 6'4" tall and weigh 285 and I can crawl under and listen with a stethoscope, without lifting.
You can change it without moving transmission. It's tight but can be done. Check some videos. The torque converter has to be unbolted from flex plate and pushed back into transmission bell housing while turning clockwise. Then reach in and unbolt flex plate from crank.
At 71 years old, I don't have an efffin' clue what QuickJacks is, but whatever works. Don't forget the flashlight to sight check with. Surprised you right. Thought I was gonna say start a fire for light, huh.
It always helps to FIRST, have a Mechanic's Stethoscope and then remove the inspection cover at bottom front of the transmission and get a flashlight and watch in there with the engine at idle. Before removing the cover, get some time with the stethoscope and listen all over the engine for the...

Like @swathdiver said, why did the GM tech friend say the converter was bad? Driving it back to you, he noticed something you did not notice when you drove the truck before you bought? Why didn't you have your GM tech friend check out before purchase?
I have not heard it but the description could mean a starter drive tapping the flexplate teeth. Or, cracked flex plate. Or, exhaust shield.
Cannot open the noise file.
Finally opened the noise file: Still sounds like coming from the rear flex plate area. Not the starter drive teeth.
Back in the days of me going thru drive thru windows, I used to lay my forearm over it. Would also roll the window up enough to help cover it. I never liked those window deflectors.
IMO, I would not reuse the plate because it is likely warped and will leak again. Buy a Billet plate and a new o-ring seal and call it good. Clean the old oil off the whole area and then keep an eye on it for future leaks.

What @Joseph Garcia and @Fless said.
Plenty of videos at you tube about this. The best explanations are from TRQ and A1.
Could be but I did not hear anything at the 10 second mark that I did not hear at the 30 second mark. I would bet you cannot hear anything at all from inside cab.
For negative caster comparison, think of a shopping cart wheel and how it looks when you push forward. The right should have at least .3 degree more positive caster than the left, to allow for road crown and they both should be in the positive range. Why did you not change the sway bar frame...
Now I do. I have new front struts to do on a 2015 Chrysler mini van but waiting on a new cowling to come in. Have motorcylce work when part gets here. Waiting on customer for oil cooler lines, I have already.

"Danger Will Robinson"! Fuel leaks are nothing to mess around with. Sounds like a feed or return line leak. Needs to be inspected asap and tow it if can. If you drive, you are taking a chance on a fire.
