I think you might like driving INTO the orifice better. :p
I painted my hood hinges today while the hood is off getting painted. There was a bit of rust.
Nah. I took the truck to him and he said why don’t you leave the hood so I could drive the truck while he sands, does a little body work it needs and primes it. Then I’ll drop off the truck so he can blend the fenders when he paints it. He’s a one man body shop and that way he can work it in.
Dropped the hood off yesterday so he can sand it down and primer. He will call me to drop off the truck when it’s time to paint so he can blend the fenders. The hinges had some rust on top where they contact the hood so I sanded those down, primed, painted and cleared.
Yep. The clear was peeling off after 7 years. I found out he didn’t use the best product back then, he was doing wholesale bodywork for car lots. I wish he had told me and I could have had him use a better clear. This time he says he’s using quality product.
Nah. The hood will be off for a few days getting repainted so there’s no use stressin’. The rain doesn’t leave spots, it’s the tap water that does due to the chlorine they put in it. :D
That’s so when I actually DO drive at night, even with the windshield tinted, I’ll still be able to see! I was thinking ahead. ;) But yeah, there’s a bunch of lighting mods on that truck I almost never see. I don’t remember the last time I turned on the Demon eyes and the projector door lights...
That gasket isn’t supposed to have gasket sealer applied but it looks like that’s what happened in this case. Mine was in good shape too but I put a new one back on just because.
I’m almost positive you need to pull the dash top to get to those sensors. There’s a great write-up, link us in the tech section, here it is. It’s not hard at all.

I have painted mine, there’s a SEM Classic Coat color that’s...
The gasket scraper tool I referenced will work on that. Harbor Freight sells them under “scraper”. Anybody that’s worked on something with a gasket has run into this...
I have a Weber that uses propane to light the charcoal, can’t remember the model name but it’s about 15 years old. I recently bought a new igniter and have replaced the racks and charcoal baskets a few times. It’s got a thermometer in the lid and I can cook direct or indirect easily. It’s...
That’s awesome. Yes it does take a bit of driving before the codes clear. Just keep in mind the aftermarket sensor may or may not last long, it seems to be hit or miss from what I’ve heard. Glad to help.
We’re not allowed here either but we basically have no traffic division, they closed it due to lack of officers although I’ve seen a few cars pulled over lately so they might have opened it up. I’m not worried though, they never have bothered with tint here. I think they’re happy if a vehicle...
