I am looking fo the replacement gas charged lift cylinder in the Suburban rear cargo box. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Has anyone replace this and found a suitable replacement?

Thanks, Steve.

This isn't the struts for the suspension. It is for the cargo box in the rear. Simular to the rear window lift "struts", (the gas pressurized cylinders that hold the window up)

Yes, they call those struts, too. And the hatch can also be called a liftgate or end gate. Do as @Joseph Garcia recommended, or go to RockAuto or another decent vend

Thanks guys, but I am looking for the cargo box strut, located behind the 3rd row seats. I've searched the usual suspects; Parts Geek, Rock Auto and all the GM parts sites I can find. My liftgate has power actuators.

Here are a few pics to reference what I'm looking for;

At least we're on the same page now. A pic is worth 1K words! ;)

Post up the last 8 digits of your VIN and maybe Rene @915_Tahoe can get a part number for you.

I’m not familiar with the 2015-2020 models but is it possible that’s an aftermarket cargo box? I didn’t know GM even had something like that.

Here is the link to the storage box. I like it, I have tow straps, first-aid kit, flares umbrella, wool blanket, quart of oil, ect...

The "gas spring" is 12.5 in (center of clip) and 8.75 in compressed.

I found a few on Amazon that are close, $15 range. Free return with prime if it doesn't fit.

Thanks for all the help.
