Need your break-in skills 2003 Chevy 4x4 Sierra.

For some reason I thought that changed after the 2002 MY and the 03-06 had transponder keys. I know my 02 isn’t a transponder and that’s why I put a hidden kill switch in it so it can’t be started. That sucks that the entire gmt800 platform is unsecured.

    Air ride help

And the only way to test the system is with a bidirectional scanner like the GM Tech2 or Snap-On Soleus. A shop with a scanner can read the suspension system codes and provide you with them, for a fee of course. There’s a list of members here with Tech2’s that are willing to help other members...

    Air ride help

The front is not air, it’s a fluid filled system that changes damping electronically. It doesn’t raise or lower the front of the vehicle. The only thing that happens if the front isn’t working is display “ service suspension” message on the DIC and you might notice a slight difference in...

What about VATS ? I thought that without a transponder key on anything newer than my 02 you’re screwed. Or does that somehow bypass the security because if it does that sucks. That’s like a damn Kia then.

You can’t remove the cylinder without a key, for obvious reasons. Otherwise all you would have to do to steal it would be to remove the lock cylinder and turn the switch with a screwdriver. I’ve removed mine- you need to disconnect the battery so the starter can’t engage, put the key in and turn...

    2004 Suburban PCM/Fuel Level Problem

If the gauge has its full range of motion, you could remove and then install the needle to correctly display the fuel level. Simplest solution, might not be the correct way but if it works it works, and who would know ?

    Electric Cooling Fans

I’m no expert, there’s others here more familiar but…Credits are needed to tune a vehicle. Each module requires one credit so if you’re just tuning the engine computer (ecu)you only need one credit iirc. A transmission computer (tcu) needs one credit also if your vehicle has a separate tcu. The...

    Electric Cooling Fans

HP Tuners like mentioned. I have it and in fact bought it just to change one parameter with my Performabuilt transmission that was causing it to go into limp mode. I’m average in the tech area ( I’m 64 so it’s expected) and I had no trouble figuring out HPT, copied my Blackbear Performance tune...

Rocket Man's 02 Denali Build Thread AKA "THE BEAST"

Yesterday afternoon I decided to try fixing the seat. After removing it I remembered the threaded Rod on the outside of the seat base is associated with the recliner function so I inspected the electrical components. There’s a motor and a mechanism that looks like a solenoid with a plunger that...

    Electric Cooling Fans

What exactly is your problem? You said if you unplug the temp sensor the fans come on. Is your truck overheating or is the ac not working right or what? The temps that the fans are set to come on are in the tune. Stock is 190 I believe? And any time the ac compressor is on the fans are supposed...

Rocket Man's 02 Denali Build Thread AKA "THE BEAST"

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve updated this thread and that’s because nothings broke lately. Well except the driver seat. The back rest will adjust backwards but not forwards. Which really sucks since I checked it a couple times and now it’s fairly reclined. I hear a click but no forward so...

Any aluminum radiators that don't crack annually?

It’s usually in the fine print but those two companies have had the least complaints from members here over the years, they’re actually two of the best online dealer parts sellers. I would say your hiccup is pretty rare for them if they indeed didn’t have it in writing but it is noted. It’s the...

Any aluminum radiators that don't crack annually?

Funny. I’ve ordered from both of those with zero issues over the years. Every company has a hiccup here and there. Besides that, this thread is about finding an aftermarket aluminum radiator that lasts, not OEM dealerships.

    Seat Motor

It could be the switch too. Does it make any clicking noises when you operate the switch back and forth or is there silence? Edit: not sure if the passenger switch could be swapped to the driver side to troubleshoot or if the connectors are different but it’s worth looking.

    Little Liftgate Light Mod

The interior dome lights light the other side if needed. This is a great idea when you want to just add some extra light to what we already have. I've seen it done by a few members here and it works good. You can also wire them in to come on with the dome lights so it's automatic when you open...
