Anyone ever used one of these? https://ppepower.com/products/gm-6l80-deep-pan-kit-raw I'm going to do a fluid and filter change around 5k miles, just to ensure that any shrapnel that was left in the lines doesn't continue to circulate, and I'm thinking I may as well upgrade the pan while its...

    The KidWagon

Found this interesting tidbit today, thought I’d share: In the February 2011 issue of Trailer Life magazine RV Clinic in response to a reader about the maximum transmission temperature allowed in a 2009 Chevy Silverado, the Tech Team had this response. "General Motors' in-house towing team...

    The KidWagon

Unfortunately not. The 3.08's are the "luxury" gears and boy are they lazy. LOTS of downshifting on inclines, or even to pass quickly. I wanted to get into a set of 3.73's already, but this has made that want far more pronounced. Now I just need to figure out if I can direct swap from...

Guess who's back. Back again. Tahoe's back. Tell a friend. Bit lazy with the 3200 stall and 3.08 gears, so I've found my next mod. Speaking of next mods, I ordered a 40k that will be here tomorrow. I saw a high of 217° in stop and go traffic. While this is "high", the Amsoil Signature Series...

    HP Tuners additional changes?

Doesn't have anything to do with the ECM or TCM, but HPT can update all kinds of fun stuff from what I know. We have 93 here, not 91, and it's 70c/gallon more. Since the truck is otherwise stock, I'm just having it tuned on 87 for now. It's going to be getting a cam/long tubes/exhaust next...

    HP Tuners additional changes?

Truck is being tuned this week. Other than the obvious, what else should I ask about? Requests so far: -Tap-to-signal change to 5 blinks -Auto up on driver's window -Enable all informational readouts on DIC -Turn "tow/haul" button into a "sport" mode -Turn hazard button into "emergency strobe" mode

How low can I go? Just ordered tires!

I agree that the majority are, until you get into some goofy spec "TrUk WhEeLs", but just saying that a tire size will or won't work without also quantifying the width and offset is misleading. You know I have mad respect for you, just pointing something out.

How low can I go? Just ordered tires!

Saying this without quantifying wheel width and offset doesn't hold much weight. I was on 305/35/24 with 24x10 +25, dropped 3.5/5, and only had minor rubbing over big drops in the front. The rears had PLENTY of room

Installing "2021 PPV" style 6-Piston Brembo Front Brakes on a 2007 Yukon Denali

Wonder if the cost of the ZR1 brakes is worth the difference in cost over the PPV calipers. It's only $75 per caliper more, plus the cost of the adapter bracket at $225.

Aluminum / XFE NNBS Front Suspension Rebuild

Ahhhhh. The joys of modifying from original blueprint. A wise man here at Boeing once told me: The amount strayed from factory design is directly proportionate to the amount of time spent on jackstands. My "fast" 04 Forester proved his theory correct.

    4/6 drop on 305/35/24s possible?

Do some searching around. There's quite a bit more to a rear drop than just slapping the springs on.
