If you feel like coming down to Nc I got a bench I took out that avalanche black leather and I believe it is heated also I’ll have to check but probably wrong on that
Welcome from nc! Hey neighbor!
I love these body styles I feel like the 99-13 are the best body styles to have I’ve had every kind but refuse to go over a 2013 because of all the issues and what not…
My 07 has over 400,000 on her now and I’m finally about to replace the motor simply because I...
Let me know when you wanna lift her I can help out buddy! You still to Morehead right? Shoot I can sit under my rigs sitting up right and still got room I got a 5 gallon bucket that I drain my oil with lol so much easier anytime I work on my dads or in-laws stuff I’m like wtf how the f do I get...
Speed engineering or Texas speed Longtubes and exhaust is always a first
A good sealed cold air intake along with a custom tune will always be the best bang for your buck before you start getting into internal engine mods and gears for the rear end.
Unless you have 6500$ for a whipple...
Probably a bad ball joint or maybe upper control arm bushings?
Look at the upper and lower ball joints or jack it up off the ground and push/pull on the top and bottom of the tire and look for play
I’ve got a stock nav unit I would let you get for cheap or if the knob comes off easily you can have it idk if I’ll ever use this radio because I already have aftermarket double din radios in my rigs
I’ve got 3.73s in both my truck and Tahoe and they have done fine towing wise and I’ve towed up to 10-15,000lbs
However I have larger tires and I want to switch to 4.10s or maybe even 4.56s in the future but the 3.73s get the job done for now
Yea they dumped all kind of shit in the water back in the day it’s the same way on the base down in Atlantic all the locals had contaminated water wells that lived near the base
The cig boat race is always big in Morehead city every year! I ain’t been In awhile but always see the lineup when the people first get in town it’s pretty badass
For the average Joe like me this is the type of kit you’ll use probably one time unless you work on LS engines a lot I used it once and it’s sat on the shelf for over 2 years so I’m thankful to finally put it to good use to someone who needed it!
Even after paying shipping to and from the flat...
I guess this is the best place to post this? Mods move if there’s a better spot to post
I have a time sert head bolt repair kit
I used it to fix my stripped head bolts on my 07-13 body style LS but I’m sure it fits most all LS blocks if I’m not mistaken
PN:3700
Kit cost me about 800$ at the...
I don’t think theirs room for the studs because of the firewall but I could be wrong
And my inlaw was the supervisor to cherry point mcas airbase machining department he also said to use helicoils but I did the time sert because it’s what my tuner recommended to me and he’s done a lot of...
I don’t think helicoils would hold to the torque of the head bolts that was my original option too because I was tight on cash I ended up saving up and getting the time sert kit to do it right
Everything off a 4wd Silverado will fit your 2wd
So crossmembers will work
Upper control arms would works
Only difference is you might have coil springs up front vs torsion keys so you would use a lift spring for your lift
Or you could run lifted steering knuckles
My buddy’s Silverado was...
Stock wheels you could clear 35s with a lil trimming and torsion keys turned up
If your worried about scrubbing or don’t want to trim your valence get 33/12.50s and you’ll be good to go!
I’ll let you rent mine if you ain’t trying to spend 800-1000$ on a kit for yourself…
Sadly it’s one of those kits you have to have to do the job but won’t use but one time and it’ll sit on the shelf so maybe we can save ourselves some money here if your interested just PM me
I did this in my Silverado with the time sert kit
I refused to pull the motor and actually ended up drilling it with a ratchet as that was all I could fit in there. It was nerve wracking but it’s definitely manageable and was honestly very easy the plate time sert gives you makes it foolproof...
