    Oil life question

It used 63% that quickly? When do you normally change the oil? By the monitor (if so what %), or by mileage? Is it possible the monitor didn't reset and now you are just seeing lower than before? I usually change mine at 5k, which is somewhere around the 40-50% oil life left per the truck. I...

    How many miles???????

That's a lot of miles, you got your money worth for sure! Generally, most of my stuff is out of my stable by 250k. But, that being said, I usually don't have to do a lot of stuff. Your basic maintenance items like suspension, fluids, filters, brakes, tires, etc. The occasional electrical...

odd (regen?) smell first 15 minutes of driving

I have a 2023 F-450 work truck with the diesel. I can monitor soot load, but it never will tell when regen happens. The way I figured it out was through the instant MPG. When it drops to 7 mpg and doesn't change no matter how light I go on the pedal I know it's in regen. Also, another smell I...

    2018 Yukon Denali Flex Fuel?

It looks like you have it. The fuel line looks to have the sensor with the 2 wire connector plugged in. Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks complete. Maybe it's a dummy placeholder?

    2023 GMC Yukon AT4 6.2L dead at 10K miles

I don't think I can stand on a soap box high enough to reiterate what you said. I've been saying this for years-za. Some people get it, others like to argue about it (usually ignorant people), and some just don't comprehend it. CAFE is a game that the EPA, oil companies, tree huggers, and...

    2006 Tahoe/Locking brakes )car won’t move

You most likely have a hose that is collapsing and causing a check valve situation - holding pressure at the caliper. Or, you have a caliper that isn't retracting when it gets warmed up - sticking piston. It could also be caliper slides, etc. Another option I can see is that the master...

New Here with a 2013 Denali

Welcome from WI! Nice looking truck. I don't have much life experience with AFM vehicles, I try to stick with 07-09. My 2017 has it, but I've had a range Device in for 100+k with no issues. There are many schools of thought on the AFM topic. General synopsis is that frequent oil changes with...

    Front Wheel Alignment Issue

Are they tightening the jam nuts for the tie rods good and tight? That would be the only thing I can think of as being a repeat offender if all else checks out. How do the control arm bushings look? I've seen degraded ones allow the wheel to move around, thus changing the alignment. Has your...

    Wheel paint codes

On the inside of the wheel there should be a Hollander number. Plug that into the Google machine and it should bring up some specs. This link may help too. https://midwestwheelandtire.com/wheels/gmc/yukon/2018-yukon

2023 Tahoe Continuous Rattle Noise After Shutoff

Nope. That's odd. Definitely need a scanner to see what isn't going to sleep like it should.

2014 2-speed transfer case - faint whine when in AUTO or 4Hi

Not exactly. There is an actuator in the front differential that engages the gears when 4wdnis selected. The axles, bearings will spin. Driveshaft will not. This is with a selectable 2wd/4wd case setup.

P0446 code on low mileage 2018 Tahoe

I would contact your local chevy dealer. With that low of miles I would assume its under warranty, or good will. I thought most emissions components carried an 8yr/80k warranty.

How are you cleaning your Yukon's stock exhaust tips?

I just scrub a dub, dub, with the soapy brush.........the once in a while when I ACTUALLY wash my yukons. Then follow up with a dry towel polish. Has worked for years. I've given up on clean yukons. I have this uncanny power to wash them 1 or 2 days before a rain. If I get the urge, then I...

    Roof rack size

I have a tent up there with a good air deflector so I keep decent mpg's. Honestly, I would get the smallest, usable size, and keep it near the back. Then put a deflector in front. This will make getting stuff out easier without feeling like the top of your truck is an anchor/sail. Or, fab up a...

    Tiny rust spot

Well, 1st off, good find! I can honestly say the roof is the last place I look for rust being where I live. LOL.......I usually shows up where I SEE it everyday first. I would just light scuff, use some rust converter primer, and then find the matched color (looks black?). Lightly spray...

    Locked Steering Wheel & Ignition

It sounds like the column is jammed and you need to pull on it to the direction the tires are turned to release the pressure. Then jiggle the key while trying to turn it, GENTLY. It sounds like it's bound up and you have to find the combo to release it

    2018 Yukon Denali Flex Fuel?

I've seen some YouTube videos on the topic for newer GM stuff and I thought it was along the driver side frame rail with the fuel line. It has a 2 or 3 wire connector that goes to it as well. Probably somewhere in the vicinity of the fuel tank/cross member area.

    Fan rumble

I had the same issue years back and you probably have some debris I'm there like you speculate. A little bit can throw off the balance and make all kinds of noise. Do as @Geotrash suggested. You can also couple that with some compressed air at the same time to maybe dislodge and the suck...

    2023 GMC Yukon AT4 6.2L dead at 10K miles

To your point @Geotrash , I've done similar calculations and it never works out in favor of the consumer. That is why when I get a personal truck again it will most likely be a 2015-19 2500hd with a 6.0L. Bulletproof setup, should run for many, many miles. When you do the comparison of mpg...

    Motor flush

All the above are good suggestions. I've found that using ATF or MMO for the last 500-1000 miles of the oil change works well. The oil will come out dark, showing carbon and deposits being dissolved. But, if it's an engine that's been neglected forever in the oil change department, be cautious...

    Belt chirp…

Does the water pump have a painted pulley, or clean metal finish where the belt rides? Seen tons of these in the generator world with noisy belts and I narrowed it down to paint on the pulley causing the belt to slip. If that's the case, remove belt and emery cloth the pulley to bare metal...

2 door 5.7 tbi to carb swapp problems

Yes. I think you'll need a stand alone controller for it. If it was a 700r4 you could get away with it.

    Low Oil Pressure when hot

I don't think your motor is junk. I'm under the assumption that something was missed. Refer to @donjetman above. Also, if I'm correct, the VLOM can get wonky with age. Maybe you are losing pressure there similar to the non AFM trucks with the o-rings that get hard and allow seepage.
