I installed the kicker one that goes back with the jack/breaker bar etc.
Amazing for its size, very happy with the thump. And you'd never know it's there since it goes behind the trim and doesn't take up any cargo space.
1/2” breaker bar (many uses but mostly for removing lug nuts) and appropriate socket.
Tow strap recovery rope.
Jumper cables (only ever used them to help other people)
Fire extinguisher (surprised more people don’t have these in their cars)
Road flares.
Handgun.
12v air compressor.
OBD scan...
I took it all apart again and reattached where I spliced and then crimped on the sub wires this time. (Terrible instructions at that part from Kicker)
Working well now, definitely added some thump to it like I was looking for! Happy with it now.
Yes, gotta change lifters and many other parts to mechanically delete the AFM system.
I'm going to mechanically delete all the AFM components eventually. Just gotta pull the trigger on it which is like $8k including labor if I want a good performance shop here to do it.
The uhaul auto transport trailer is 79.25" in width. Our Tahoe's are 80.5" in width. So based on that, I don't think it will fit. Wheelbase wise they're totally fine, just not width.
Usually it means that it can detect something of weight in the passenger seat but not enough weight to be a human large enough for the airbag to deploy when necessary.
I notice this sometimes if I put a heavy bag or backpack on the passenger seat. It clearly detects weight but wants to tell me...
Crossed over the 100,000 mile mark. No more drivetrain warranty now. Which means time for a mechanical DoD delete and new cam and a motor refresh. Maybe long tube headers?
I haven't done febreeze but I do drop a few drops of essential oil on the filter when I replace it and it makes the whole cabin smell great for a good while. So now I do that every time.
Well I ripped apart my interior and installed my Kicker sub. Followed every single instruction exactly.
Turned on some music and the sub itself makes no sound..
I'm unsure if it's because I need to go to the dealer and have them eliminate the ANC (active noise cancelation) through a reprogram. I...
Battery replacements on these vehicles are not a 5 minute job. Definitely more involved than any other vehicle I own, because of how many components hook up to it and the pieces you have to move to get it in an out.
But doable in your driveway if you know how to use a wrench.
Lots of rock chips on windshields happen here!
Sounds like you had a nice road trip out here to see the big hole in the ground. Really scenic drive from Arizona back up to that part of Canada I'm sure. I've driven from Scottsdale to Denver and back before and it was very pretty. And countless...
Mine has had a similar issues I've noticed when making very tight, slow, parking lot turns at full lock. It's happened twice now where it shut off completely and I had to give it a second to turn back on. Car goes back to default modes like FM radio and I have to index the drivers window and...
Good point. I've never been in the backseats of any of my vehicles. Other than backseat of my Camaro when I was in my early 20's with my now wife..
But never ridden in the back while the vehicle is being driven.
Cleaned it good, inside and out, after a 3200 mile road trip from AZ to North Idaho and back over the holiday. Got crap fuel economy on this trip driving into an almost direct headwind both ways somehow.
Sounds like maybe just the fans were still running after you killed it? Can be normal, or abnormal depending on where you live and the ambient temp and how long its been running and how hot it got.
I keep a 1/2" breaker bar under the backseat and a correct size socket in the glovebox.
Breaker bars can come in handy for many things other than its intended use.
I put a set of the cross climate 2's on my wife's VW Tiguan and they're great in the rain during our monsoon season here. No cons like road noise or stiffness in my opinion.
Got new tires installed today. I got about 56k out of my last BFG KO2s.
This time I went through discount tire/american tire instead of Costco because Costco was such a hassle last time with them installing the "oversized" tires. Costco didn't want to do it, I bullied them into it, and then they...
