Most miles with stock AFM system?

My 2016 Tahoe just turned 165K miles. 100% stock no issues.
I know I should get it tuned but do not trust any shops here in Florida, NYC or NJ to tune out the AFM. Do not want to hook up the Range.

Still runs like brand new. Still using 0w20. Change out every 5K miles with either Mobil 1 EP or AC Delco.

@BlackBearPerf Now if they came anywhere near my neck of the woods or in NYC-N.J. I would let them tune it.

Yep, good to know.
I was just curious as the whether any holdouts had accumulated as much miles as I have while still running the stock system.

I probably should have realized that it is highly unlikely that anyone still running the OEM system will ever see this thread. I'll be surprised if I get any responses at all, now that I think about it.

Oh, well.

I read a lot about deactivating the stock AFM system because of the many reports of trouble. But I often wonder who has accumulated the most trouble-free miles while running the OEM system. I have 114,000 on my '16 Tahoe, and no trouble yet (fingers still crossed).
166k then I had to replace the engine. 2008 5.3 LC9 flex

I have started driving with the transmission in M5. Plan to get a tune. Really don't want to have to get the engine repaired on a road trip. I can also get the transmission pressures adjusted to help my reman transmission live.

Does a person have to pull the heads to do an AFM delete and, if so, why?

Yes, gotta change lifters and many other parts to mechanically delete the AFM system.
I'm going to mechanically delete all the AFM components eventually. Just gotta pull the trigger on it which is like $8k including labor if I want a good performance shop here to do it.

I've changed lifters before without pulling the heads. Removed the rocker covers, removed the rocker arms, pulled the pushrods, and pulled the lifters. That was before roller hydraulic lifters and the LS/LT engines, though. Removed the cam out through the front of the engine compartment after removing the grille and AC condenser and radiator. Saves the back lifting out and returning the heads. Plus the head bolt removal/replacement/torquing and gaskets.

Perhaps the valley cover or something requires head removal.
